Kilimanjaro to the top
We had an absolutely fantastic trip to Mount Kilimanjaro, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! From the very beginning, everything was well organized. Faiza at Ungi Tours provided great support during the planning phase and made sure all practical details were in place before arrival. Once the trek began, the real adventure started. On the mountain, Dixon, Jamal, and the entire team were truly outstanding. Before departure, they came to check our equipment and gave clear, practical advice on clothing and preparation. As a Norwegian, I thought I already knew quite a bit about cold-weather clothing, but the advice from Dixon and Jamal, luckily followed, made a huge difference and helped us feel fully prepared for the climb. As always: listen to the experienced ones. Throughout the trek, the guides and crew showed impressive teamwork and professionalism. They focused strongly on keeping motivation high, especially during the more demanding sections, and provided both physical and mental support when it was needed most. Their presence, encouragement, and ability to solve challenges made the difficult parts manageable. Reaching the summit was the culmination of days of effort, endurance, and strong teamwork. It was not just a physical achievement, but a shared moment that reflected everything the team had put into the journey. Looking back, what truly defines this experience is the consistent quality of care, guidance, and atmosphere from start to finish. The entire expedition felt well organized and thoughtfully planned, making the journey both safe and unforgettable. We highly recommend this team to anyone dreaming of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! It means a lot to the entire Ungi Tours team. We’re especially happy to hear that Dixon, Jamal, and the mountain crew supported you with the preparation, equipment advice, motivation, and care needed throughout the climb. Reaching the summit is a team effort, and we’re proud to have been part of such a memorable achievement. Thank you for trusting Ungi Tours with your Kilimanjaro adventure and for your kind recommendation. Congratulations again on reaching the summit, and we hope to welcome you back to Tanzania for another adventure!

On the mountain Dixon, Jamal and the rest of the team were truly exceptional. They were professional, motivating, and caring throughout the entire journey. We felt safe and secure every step of the way, and they did everything they could to help us reach the summit—and we made it! Climb Kilimanjaro - a lifetime experience
My wife and me had a great experience climbing Kilimanjaro on the Lemosho route (8 days) with Ungi Tours. We had a great team with 2 guides, a cook, experts for sleeping and toilet tent as well as many powerful porters. The organization was perfect. We got every help needed. The team tried everything to make us the trip as convenient as possible. Climbing Kilimanjaro it is all about the last day, starting at midnight at Barafu Camp at 4.673 m and climbing, climbing, climbing. Very happy we made it.
Response from the operator: Hello Gunter Thank you so much for taking a time to put all this together, i am happy to hear you had great experience climbing Kili with us. Thank you for booking with us, Congratulations on your summit. Asante

Kilimanjaro climb via Marangu Route 6Days: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.
How much does Kilimanjaro climb via Marangu Route 6Days cost?
+
Prices start at $2,300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kilimanjaro climb via Marangu Route 6Days take?
+
Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.
Is Kilimanjaro climb via Marangu Route 6Days worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kilimanjaro climb via Marangu Route 6Days?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kilimanjaro climb via Marangu Route 6Days suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Kilimanjaro climb via Marangu Route 6Days?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kilimanjaro climb via Marangu Route 6Days start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Moshi?
+
On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch, Materuni Waterfall and Coffee Plantation Half Day Tour, Kilimanjaro climb, Machame Route (7-day). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Moshi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Moshi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

+
