Amazing experience! The...
Amazing experience! The crew was very friendly. We saw a pod of dolphins and there were multiple babies! When we got to our snorkeling spot we had 45 minutes to snorkel and I saw a lot of different fish. I definitely suggest doing this tour!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much! We’re thrilled you had a great time and got to see the dolphins and their babies! We hope to see you again for another adventure!

Our guides were awesome....
Our guides were awesome. They took us to see 40 + dolphins and the snorkeling was excellent. Very fun trip!

Nice experience
Nice experience! We saw dolphins and later, during snorkelling, a bunch of fish! I gave 4 out of 5 because I felt like the visibility of the water was not that great (a little murky) and also the waves were pretty strong on the day we went, even though it was sunny. Of course this cannot be controlled by the company but I wasn’t sure if these conditions were temporary or not.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We're so glad you were able to see dolphins and enjoy snorkeling with plenty of fish during your trip. We also appreciate your understanding regarding the water visibility and wave conditions. Those conditions can vary from day to day depending on weather, wind, tides, and ocean currents, and unfortunately they're beyond our control. Some days the water is crystal clear, while on others it can be a bit murkier or choppier, even under sunny skies. Thank you for choosing Sunset Watersports, and we hope you'll join us again on a calmer day to experience the beautiful, clear waters that Key West is known for!

Key West sunset snorkeling trip
The trip overall was enjoyable; we were able to see dolphins, snorkeling was interesting and sunset beautiful. The reason I rated this experience 3 stars is how uncomfortable captain made us by constantly reminding to leave proper tip at the end…. The trip it self was not chip and gratuity should be optional for excellent service. I would consider tipping but after many reminders did not feel like it

Both Captain and crew...
Both Captain and crew were great. Dolphins were spectacular, just wish we could have seen more marine life while snorkling.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We're so glad you enjoyed your time with our captain and crew and that the dolphins put on such a spectacular show. We appreciate your feedback about the snorkeling as well. Marine life sightings can vary from day to day due to changing ocean conditions, but we're happy you still had a memorable experience on the water. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Key West soon!

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Key West Dolphin and Snorkel Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Key West.
How much does Key West Dolphin and Snorkel Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $48 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Key West usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Key West Dolphin and Snorkel Experience take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Key West is not rushed.
Is Key West Dolphin and Snorkel Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 370 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Key West, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Key West Dolphin and Snorkel Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Key West Dolphin and Snorkel Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Key West Dolphin and Snorkel Experience?
+
Around 130 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Key West can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Key West and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Key West Dolphin and Snorkel Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Key West within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Key West?
+
Key West is a boat town. The only living coral barrier reef in the continental US sits seven miles offshore, and reef trips, sunset catamarans and backcountry kayak runs are the core bookings, alongside Hemingway house and Duval history walks. Our ranking weighs boat capacity and reef site rotation, which separates the good operators from the party cruises. On Outty we rank every Key West experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Shark and Wildlife Viewing Adventure in Key West, Southernmost Food & Cultural Walking Tour by Key West Food Tours, Half-Day Trip from Key West with Kayaking, Snorkeling & Sunset. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Key West?
+
December to April, dry season and calm reef water. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Key West?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
