About this experience
Dolphins are widespread in the Florida waters especially Key West as they prefer the warm waters of the tropical ocean. As we visit the Dolphin pod in the Key West Waters don't be surprised to hear their vocals in the form of clicks and whistles. Dolphins are some of Earth's most intelligent animals and very social. At times we can see pods of dolphins in the 1000's. Dolphins love to play and often we can see them Jumping out of the water. When we finish the Dolphin watch we will cruise and enjoy one of the largest reefs in the world for a fun filled snorkeling adventure. On the way back enjoy an open bar serving unlimited cold draft beer and soft drinks. We offer this trip daily in the Morning and in sunset.

Disappointing service
Despite arriving only one minute late, we were denied service and charged the full amount of $800 for a group of nine people. This is unacceptable, especially considering that my mother has a disability and my six-month-old daughter is with me. Even though I had called the establishment prior to our arrival, they did not wait for us. I should have canceled the reservation 24 hours in advance, but our arrival was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. I was traveling with a wheelchair and my daughter, and the situation was chaotic. It is imperative that the establishment implement a penalty system for late arrivals and offer a refund for services not rendered. The $800 charge is excessive and unjustified given the lack of service provided. I strongly advise against booking with this establishment due to the potential for similar issues. The staff’s lack of customer service and disregard for the needs of individuals with disabilities is unacceptable. As a business owner, I prioritize providing exceptional service to my customers.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience—we’re truly sorry to hear how stressful this situation was for you and your family. We completely understand how challenging travel can be, especially when coordinating with a wheelchair and a young child. We’re very sorry that, despite your efforts to call ahead, you were unable to join the Key West Dolphin Watching & Snorkeling Cruise as planned. Because this is a shared group experience with strict departure times regulated by the marina and Coast Guard guidelines, the crew is required to leave on schedule and unfortunately cannot delay departures—even by a few minutes—as it impacts safety, other guests, and the overall operation. That said, we truly regret that this policy affected you in such a difficult situation. Your feedback regarding late arrival flexibility and clearer policies is very valuable. We are always looking for ways to improve communication and explore options that can better support guests facing unexpected delays, especially those traveling with special needs. We would really appreciate the opportunity to review your case further and see if there’s anything we can do to assist. Please reach out to our office directly so we can look into this for you. Thank you again for your feedback—it helps us continue improving the experience for all our guests.

Amzing
the experience was really nice, was our last day the weather was not the best but they did everything so we could go to our tour. we saw a long time dophins all around the boat was amazing, they jumped swim in group for more than 40 min. the snorkel is good, because of weather conditions we couldn't go to coral reef but we went to a sponge garden what was nice safe and we saw lobster fishes and shelly fish! the crew was very nice they gave us a lot of information about the marine life in the keys. thank you for this nice experience.

Majestic
On the way out to snorkel we found a mom and baby dolphin and we were able to see them right off the side of the boat. On the way back we found a whole pod and we stopped. It was majestic.

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Key West: Dolphin Watching cruise & Snorkeling unlimited beer & soda: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Key West.
How much does Key West: Dolphin Watching cruise & Snorkeling unlimited beer & soda cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Key West usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Key West: Dolphin Watching cruise & Snorkeling unlimited beer & soda take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Key West is not rushed.
Is Key West: Dolphin Watching cruise & Snorkeling unlimited beer & soda worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Key West, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Key West: Dolphin Watching cruise & Snorkeling unlimited beer & soda?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Key West: Dolphin Watching cruise & Snorkeling unlimited beer & soda suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Key West: Dolphin Watching cruise & Snorkeling unlimited beer & soda?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Key West can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Key West and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Key West: Dolphin Watching cruise & Snorkeling unlimited beer & soda start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Key West within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Key West?
+
Key West is a boat town. The only living coral barrier reef in the continental US sits seven miles offshore, and reef trips, sunset catamarans and backcountry kayak runs are the core bookings, alongside Hemingway house and Duval history walks. Our ranking weighs boat capacity and reef site rotation, which separates the good operators from the party cruises. On Outty we rank every Key West experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Shark and Wildlife Viewing Adventure in Key West, Southernmost Food & Cultural Walking Tour by Key West Food Tours, Half-Day Trip from Key West with Kayaking, Snorkeling & Sunset. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Key West?
+
December to April, dry season and calm reef water. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Key West?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
