Best way to see the island
My family and I had a fantastic tour with our guide Chris who was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We expected to see Assos, Fiskardo and the Myrtos beach view but he included many other photo stops and even surprised us with a picnic including wine, bead, meats and cheeses. He dropped us off for lunch at a great spot to finish our tour. He was able to give so much information as we were driving around and it felt as if we had seen so much of the island. Would thoroughly recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! Will pass your amazing words to Chris! Hope to see you again soon!

Brrilliantly bonkers and beautiful.
This terrrific trrip arround the norrthern hemispherre of the island did not disappoint. The brrilliantly bonkers tour guide led the grroup well. Verry entertaining. Assos and Fiskardo were beautiful but be warned… they will detail tragic incidents such as earthquakes, earth tremors, hurricanes, drowning, under currents, civil unrest and landslides while driving on a cliffside so don’t do the trip if you’re prone to anxious episodes. Some of the clearest, bluest, turquoise waters I’ve ever seen. Definitely worth the rride. My final advice is, don’t eat at the restaurant they recommend in Fiskardo - it’s overpriced and the food is mediocre.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed review and for joining us on our Northern Kefalonia tour! We’re delighted you enjoyed the beautiful scenery, Assos and Fiskardo, as well as our “brilliantly bonkers” guide! 😄 We also appreciate your honest feedback about the restaurant recommendation. We’ll certainly take it on board and review the options we suggest to our guests. Thank you again for your feedback and for the 4 stars—we hope to welcome you back to Kefalonia again!

An Absolutely Lovely Day Trip To The North Of Kefalonia
Fantastic trip around the north of Kefalonia! Booked for myself and my girlfriend thinking it would be a larger coach tour and were both pleasantly surprised to find there were just 7 of us in a lovely air conditioned Mercedes minibus. The tour guide was helpful, interesting and more than accommodating, speaking great English and providing the personal touch of cheese, sausage and wine tasting at lunch! Absolutely brilliant! He used his 30 years of living on the island to take us to the most beautiful spots and hidden gems. So thank you tour guide Chris!!! Personal pick up and drop off was also included free of charge, which was another lovely surprise. There was a good range of ages on the tour from myself and my girlfriend in our 20s to people of retirement age, the tour is not physical demanding or exhausting so I would recommend for all ages and demographics, especially couples. For the price, I cannot recommend this trip enough, a great full day of exploring the northern gems of Kefalonia. Perfect for those staying near and around Argostoli.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful 5-star review! We're absolutely delighted that you and your girlfriend enjoyed exploring the northern gems of Kefalonia with Chris. One of the things we love most about our small-group tours is creating a relaxed, personal experience, so we're thrilled that the Mercedes minibus, hotel pick-up and drop-off, and the local wine, cheese, and sausage tasting made your day even more special. Chris will be especially happy to hear your kind words. His passion for Kefalonia and over 30 years of local knowledge allow him to share not only the island's famous landmarks but also its hidden treasures, and it's fantastic to know this made such a lasting impression. Thank you for recommending the tour to other travellers. It was a pleasure having you both with us, and we hope to welcome you back to Kefalonia for another unforgettable adventure in the future!

Incredible day
We had an absolutely incredible private tour of Kefalonia with Chris as our driver and guide. Best day of our holiday by far. Chris was great fun, full of interesting facts and tales of Kefalonia and also very kind. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day. He provided a gorgeous picnic with wine, bread, meats and cheeses which we all shared sat on a bench overlooking the water in beautiful Assos. He took lots of family photos of us all above Myrtos beach viewpoint and in Assos too which was so nice of him to do. He knows all the best spots. We had free time in Assos and Fiskardo and also at Emplisi beach where our daughters swam and snorkelled in the sea whilst my husband and I relaxed with a drink. On the way back to our hotel in Skala he took us on a wonderful scenic route through the mountains and stunning villages also telling us tales of Ithaca. We have falling in love with Kefalonia and will be back again soon and will book another tour.

Chris is truly passionate about sharing the island's beauty, history, and hidden gems, so it means a lot to know that his stories, local knowledge, and personal touches made your day so memorable. We're especially pleased that you enjoyed the picnic in Assos, the breathtaking viewpoints, the time at Emplisi Beach, and the scenic drive back through the mountains. Creating unique experiences and lasting memories is exactly what we strive for. It was our pleasure to be part of your family holiday, and we're glad Chris could capture those special moments with your family photos along the way. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cephalonia?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cephalonia?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
