    Wonderful experience

Miguel was great guide. He’s a great communicator. Incredible, informative trip with magical waterfall (‘now it’s time for a little shower’ as he pushed us off into the cascade!’)

    Organisation needs improvement

We arrived on time and there was a massive queue. Staff at the booking desk were very busy. It didn’t take that long to get to the desk. I paid and I was told that my payment hadn’t gone through, but I clearly saw that it had been approved.I was asked to pay again and I refused.I checked my bank’s app as the girl at the desk said that sometimes they refund the money straight away.It wasn’t the case.I said that I would check after the route and make the payment again if I saw my money back in my account. We then had to go to another table and we were informed that there were no kayaks and we had to wait. As we were going on our own , not with a guide , they said people with guides had priority to get a kayak, obviously I wasn’t happy, we had also pay so why should we wait more than the other people. We finally got a kayak 45 minutes later than our booking time. The route is beautiful but I would not do it again, too crowded for me.I don’t know if the wait is always the same, I understand that things happen and it is a very popular activity and they want to make the most money from it, but maybe taking less bookings would make the experience better.

    Beautiful, fun, inclusive

Wow, what an amazing trip! We did the boat trip with our family of nine, which included a couple of elderly people as well as young children. We had a great time, our guide was informative and kind. The waterfall was fabulous and the water a beautiful colour! We got right up to it on our paddle boards, Mama and Pops included! Thank you for a memorable experience.

Kayak to the waterfall at Nerja

Professional set up, with helpful staff. Booking isn't essential as you can turn up and book on the day. Lockers are available to store valuables etc. We booked a 2 person kayak for 2 hours to paddle to the waterfall and bouyancy life vests were included in the price. We didn't go in a guided group as it's a straight route around the coastline and you can't get lost! It takes approximately 45 minutes to paddle to the waterfall with 45 minutes back, so easily achievable in 2 hours. They do have a boat out at sea to observe and help anyone struggling. They can also tow those struggling back to shore. If you're taking a phone to take pictures, use a waterproof case and lanyard and make sure you use sunscreen as there is no shade. Some people were using tee shirts unders the bouyancy vestes to stop chaffing, but we didn't and we were OK.

Bucket list item - checked all of the boxes!!

This was an amazing experience that ticked off a bucket list item! My daughter and I joined Andres and a lovely group on the snorkeling trip. The information on the boat ride out was fantastic, we saw the waterfall, and then we were dropped off with our guide and the group near caves, rocks, and open water to explore. Andres took very good care of the group, checking in with us consistently as to whether or not we were okay. I felt super safe the entire time! We were able to see lots of underwater life, swim through caves, and then play with the scooter. The time flew by because it was an incredibly fun and enjoyable experience. The best part is being able to relive these memories with the help of the photos and videos. Thank you to the whole crew who took such good care of us. We will never forget the time we spent with you!

Kayak Route Cliffs of Nerja and Maro - Cascada de Maro: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Malaga.

How much does Kayak Route Cliffs of Nerja and Maro - Cascada de Maro cost?

    +

Prices start at $53 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Malaga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kayak Route Cliffs of Nerja and Maro - Cascada de Maro take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Malaga is not rushed.

Is Kayak Route Cliffs of Nerja and Maro - Cascada de Maro worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 965 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Malaga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kayak Route Cliffs of Nerja and Maro - Cascada de Maro?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kayak Route Cliffs of Nerja and Maro - Cascada de Maro suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Kayak Route Cliffs of Nerja and Maro - Cascada de Maro?

    +

Around 338 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Malaga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Malaga and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kayak Route Cliffs of Nerja and Maro - Cascada de Maro start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Malaga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Malaga?

    +

On Outty we rank every Malaga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Malaga City Tour 2 Hours Monumental Segway Tour, Taste of Malaga Tour : Tapas, History and Local Customs, Go local for a day!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Malaga?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Malaga?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
