About this experience
The mill designed by Philippe Starck stands as the first author mill in the world, fusing tradition, modernity and gastronomy in one place: the Sierra de Ronda. This space has been designed to highlight the culture and history of one of the emblematic products of Spanish gastronomy, with the collaboration of Philippe Starck, noted international designer. LA Almazara allows you to witness firsthand the process of growing and transforming olive oil into an avant-garde building that has its own museum, tasting areas or auditorium for events in an incomparable place, the Sierra de Ronda. The building is a unique architectural gem, with a structure inspired by the personality of Andalusia: austere, rigorous, real, exaggerated, timeless, strong, spiritual and passionate.

Best guide and tour of olive trees and olive oils!
This is a must do experience if you have any interest in olive oil. If not, skip it. We did the tour with tastings. And tastings are not done with bread. But we were able to taste some oils later with bread including gluten free bread. The guide was wonderful and was able to share so much about olive trees, olive oil and their specific operation. This tour was probably the best thing we have done so far on our trip. Make sure you book directly on their website.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your review. We are delighted that La Almazara - El Toro met your expectations. Kind regards, The Oill Mill Team.

Pointless.
We were very excited to make the visit and stayed a little out of place. As such a peculiar and tasteful place, personal treatment is shone by its absence. The only person who attended us correctly was the person who was in the store who was very kind to us. There was confusion with the schedules, as Tripadvisor gave us options to visit until 18:00 and called us to advance the visit because the schedule that appeared was not correct. We are ahead of schedule to avoid having to make the view in a hurry and not be able to enjoy it. We felt like they wanted to finish the day and gave us no options for anything, the reception person next to the person who was in the lounge, conveyed the desire that we leave now. Some Italians who came after us, they perceived the same situation as us. A pity not being able to enjoy the terrace and its views. The building and the surroundings very well maintained and gladly. We bought oils for the family and they loved it. Shame to have that feeling because it would have been 12 a visit.

A wonder. Unique for eating or celebrating events
Wonderful place. It would make it complementary stop to Ronda and her Master. A beautiful place that puts in value the Andalusian oil. Perfect blend of art, nature, culture

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
LA Almazara Olive Oil and Tasting with Audio Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Malaga.
How much does LA Almazara Olive Oil and Tasting with Audio Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $18 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Malaga usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does LA Almazara Olive Oil and Tasting with Audio Guide take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Malaga is not rushed.
Is LA Almazara Olive Oil and Tasting with Audio Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Malaga, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule LA Almazara Olive Oil and Tasting with Audio Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is LA Almazara Olive Oil and Tasting with Audio Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book LA Almazara Olive Oil and Tasting with Audio Guide?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Malaga can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Malaga and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does LA Almazara Olive Oil and Tasting with Audio Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Malaga within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Malaga?
+
On Outty we rank every Malaga experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Malaga City Tour 2 Hours Monumental Segway Tour, Taste of Malaga Tour : Tapas, History and Local Customs, Go local for a day!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Malaga?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Malaga?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
