Bus trip with a family
The bus trip kathmandu to pokhara was excellent. The bus is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The trip is interesting and picturesque. Our driver drove safely. It took 6 1/2 hours there were two 30 minute stops for breakfast and lunch. The departure was punctual at 7am. The bus was air conditioned. Windows clean.

eliable, comfortable, and hassle-free journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara
I had an excellent experience booking my Kathmandu to Pokhara tourist bus tickets. The reservation process was simple, clear, and very well-organized. Communication was smooth from the beginning, confirmation details, seat numbers, and departure information were all shared in advance, which made everything stress-free. On the day of travel, the staff were polite and professional. The bus was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, with spacious reclining seats and good legroom. Complimentary water and regular rest stops along the route made the long journey very pleasant. The trip itself was safe and enjoyable, with stunning scenery along the way. The driver drove carefully, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. Beautiful views
Beautiful views. Very bumpy ride. Took a few hours more to arrive at Pokhara than stated. Worth going by bus for the views though.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful views during your journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Nepal’s natural landscapes are truly breathtaking, and we’re glad you had the opportunity to appreciate them. We understand that the ride was bumpy and took longer than expected. Unfortunately, the condition of some road sections and occasional traffic can affect travel time, and we appreciate your patience. Thank you for choosing to travel with us, and we hope to welcome you on another journey soon—perhaps with even better road conditions! Warm regards, RAJ

Kathmandu to Pokhara - Should I fly or take roads?
Hi am planning to go from Kathmandu to Pokhara next week. Am in a dilemma how to go? Am travelling with parents ( above 70 yrs) . Should I take flights? Scared about the track record of buddha air or Yeti air. Which one is safe? Should I take road- Concerned about the 8-9 hours journey? Please suggest . Thanks
Response from the operator: Road is one of the best way to get in Pokhara. We have luxurious and air suspension seats bus so its more comfortable and safe. Please contact us to book kathmandu to pokhara bus reservation

Bus Katmandu to Pokhara
The trip by bus Katmandu to Pokhara is 200km. It took over 9 hours. The road conditions were horrendous. Road works everywhere, dust, frequent single lane travel, incredibly bumpy ride, and heavey traffic with many large trucks. However the scenery was beautiful, amazing and always very interesting. Not sure this offset the travelling discomfort? The trip certainly not for the faint hearted.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Kathmandu to Pokhara Tourist Bus Tickets reservation: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Kathmandu to Pokhara Tourist Bus Tickets reservation cost?
+
Prices start at $14 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kathmandu to Pokhara Tourist Bus Tickets reservation take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Kathmandu to Pokhara Tourist Bus Tickets reservation worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 25 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kathmandu to Pokhara Tourist Bus Tickets reservation?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kathmandu to Pokhara Tourist Bus Tickets reservation suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Kathmandu to Pokhara Tourist Bus Tickets reservation?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kathmandu to Pokhara Tourist Bus Tickets reservation start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
