Very nice hike through the forest

This was my second tour with Bikram Tamang and he continued to impress me with his breadth of knowledge combined with his compassion for nature. I am pleased to recommend Bikram for your next tour. We had Dipendra as our very solid driver.

This tour is very highly recommended

Tour itinerary, tour guide Sajina and driver Arun are all excellent. I could finally see Himalayan mountains after almost 10 days stay in Nepal because Sajina kindly altered the plan and visited Nagarkot first. She knew that we had a better chance to see them in the morning. The driving was smooth and safe as Arun was such a good and kind driver. Bhaktapur was one of the most beautiful cities in Nepal and I enjoyed more because Sajina has such deep knowledge re the city history, Hinduism, Buddhism and Newari culture. She was kind enough to let me try local tea and snacks. It was almost like I was traveling with a local friend.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We’re truly delighted to hear that you had such a memorable experience with Sajina and Arun. It’s fantastic that Sajina thoughtfully adjusted the itinerary to visit Nagarkot first so you could finally enjoy clear views of the Himalayas after your stay in Nepal—that kind of care and attention is exactly what we aim to provide. We’re also glad you enjoyed exploring Bhaktapur and learning about its rich history, as well as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Newari culture through Sajina’s insights. It’s lovely to hear that trying local tea and snacks added a personal touch and made the experience feel like traveling with a local friend. Thank you for your high recommendation. We truly appreciate it and hope to welcome you back to Nepal for more unforgettable experiences! Warm Regards, Luxury Holidays Nepal Team

Insightful Tour of Nagarkot Sunrise and Bhaktapur

My guide Bikram Tamang was incredibly knowledgeable about Buddhism and the history of Nagarkot. He explained the spiritual significance of the temples in a way that made everything come alive and even took me to a wonderful spot for lunch. If you’re looking for a kind and knowledgeable guide in Kathmandu, I highly recommend him.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had such an insightful experience during the Nagarkot sunrise and Bhaktapur tour. It’s wonderful to know that Bikram Tamang’s knowledge of Buddhism, local history, and cultural traditions helped bring the sites to life for you. We’re also glad you enjoyed the lunch stop and the overall experience. Bikram will be very happy to hear your kind words and recommendation. Thank you again for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back to Nepal for more memorable experiences in the future! Warm Regards, Luxury Holidays Nepal Team

Kathmandu: Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha Hike & Tour - Private/Group: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Kathmandu: Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha Hike & Tour - Private/Group cost?

+

Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kathmandu: Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha Hike & Tour - Private/Group take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Kathmandu: Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha Hike & Tour - Private/Group worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kathmandu: Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha Hike & Tour - Private/Group?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kathmandu: Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha Hike & Tour - Private/Group suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Kathmandu: Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha Hike & Tour - Private/Group?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kathmandu: Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha Hike & Tour - Private/Group start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
