THe best trek to Aama Yangri peak and city tour!
We did a 2-3 day trek to Aama Yangri peak and monastery and a Kathmandu city tour. Both were excellent experiences and the service was as wells Madan and his team were super responsive on WhatsApp and follow up and requests were respectfully considered and acted on - which if course is the hardest part of any travel / tourist service. Madan was also very good at listening to our requests in the context of what we wanted - a little more remote and challenging but over 3 days instead of the typical 7-8 treks. The city tour was great as well. All guides whether trek or city tour were both very knowledgeable, patient and fun. We highly recommend Madan and HH!

Sightseeing Flight To Mount Everest
Our group took a one hour sightseeing flight on Buddha Air to see Mount Everest. This was an early morning flight to get the best sunlight. Each person had a window seat. The two flight attendants handed out printed sheets showing all of the peaks of the Himalayas. The plane flew along the the ridges up until Mt Everest and then flew back to KTM airport. Definitely worth taking this trip.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the scenic Buddha Air flight to see Mount Everest. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness the majestic Himalayan peaks up close, especially in the golden morning light. We’re glad everything—from the window seats to the informative sheets and smooth flight—made your journey memorable. Thank you for choosing Himalayan Hero Adventures, and we hope to welcome you again for more incredible Himalayan experiences. Best Regards, Madan Himalayan Hero Adventures

Beautiful City, Nice People, Good Tour operator
We visited all of the major sights, which are amazing. Nepal's heritage sights are an amalgamation of Indian, Chinese and Tibetan cultures and the temples are unique and provide a highly spiritual experience. The owner and the driver were highly competent and we were given a clean Baleno, at a very reasonable prices without needing to bargain.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest Thank you so much for travelling with us in Nepal. We are so pleased to have you here with us. We really appreciate your review and recommendation. We wish you a good time ahead and see you soon in near future. Best Regards Himalayan Hero Adventures Team

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Kathmandu City Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Kathmandu City Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kathmandu City Tour take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Kathmandu City Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kathmandu City Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kathmandu City Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Kathmandu City Tour?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kathmandu City Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
