Awesome experience

We had an amazing 3-day, 2-night trek from Kathmandu to Chisapani and Nagarkot with our guide, Dipak Karki, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, he was incredibly warm, relaxed, and professional. With over 20 years of experience, his knowledge and confidence really stood out throughout the trek. He shared fascinating insights about the area, pointed out useful plants (including some that help with sickness), and even showed us delicious wild berries along the way. We moved at a fairly fast pace, and Dipak adapted perfectly—always making sure we were comfortable, hydrated, and taking breaks when needed. He was also very attentive, which made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. Most importantly, he’s just a genuinely kind and lovely person to spend time with. My partner and I had such a great time trekking with him—it truly made the trip special. We would recommend him 1000% to anyone looking for a friendly, experienced, and laid-back trekking guide. Absolutely the best! Thank you Dipak!

Fantastic time with nature, mountains and our guide!

We highly recommend this trip. It’s not an easy trail, but also not extremely difficult. To truly experience the beauty of the Himalayas, it’s worth climbing as high as possible – the views of the snow-covered peaks are absolutely worth it. We were just the two of us, my husband and I. Since it was off-season, people usually fear the rain, but we were lucky – not a single drop fell during the whole trek. Instead, we were rewarded with a cloudless sunrise over the Himalayas, which was simply magical. Along the way, we passed through Himalayan villages, full of beautiful local people and animals, sometimes even walking through their courtyards. For lunch we stopped at a house where women cooked something fresh for us on the spot. We walked through lush, green jungle, constantly passing little waterfalls. The views and feelings were absolutely breathtaking. On the last day, we visited beautiful Buddhist temples. And now the most important part – our guide was Dipak. Not only did he lead us seamlessly, but he also took care of us, organizing meals and accommodations. We felt gently looked after without it ever being intrusive. A beautiful and kind and just good person. Very highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you so much for your heartfelt and detailed review. We're truly happy to hear that you had such a magical experience trekking through the Himalayas. We’re especially glad to hear that Dipak made your journey smooth and comfortable. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to him. Thank you again for choosing to trek with us and for your high recommendation. We hope to welcome you back someday for another unforgettable adventure in Nepal! Hike of a lifetime

Amazing hike! We went as a group of tree girlfriends during the early monsoon season. We were lucky with amazing weather and good hiking conditions! Our guide, Mr. Dip was kind, knowledgeable and an amazing companion during the three days. The facility in Chisapani was not the best, however, the hotel in Nagarkot was good. Spectacular views, challenging but manageable hikes and a memory for life. Thank you!

The guide was very experienced

The tour was absolutely amazing! The hiking was long and challenging, but so nice and beautiful. Our accommodations had the most incredible view over the Himalayans, and the hosts were very sweet and helpful. We had the best guide Govinda Pathak, who was sweet, fun and had great knowledge about the mountains and nature. We would highly recommend this trip!!

Highly recommend agency and tour

Perfect plan for travelers who don't have many days off. Away from the city of Kathmandu, find lush countryside and lovely people's lives. I slept with the sounds of insects and woke up with the sounds of birds. Also enjoyed organic local meal. The uphill was tough and I nearly gave up, but my wonderful guide always encouraged me. He also gave me knowledge about Nepal. Furthermore, when I caught a flight trouble, they cared it and transport for next city. Thank for their help, my travel went on wonderfully.

Response from the operator: Dear Chihiro, Thank you for sharing your amazing experience! We're really delighted to know that you had an incredible experience during the tour. It's great that our guide encouraged you to complete the tour and provided you knowledge about Nepal. We're thrilled that we could be of help. We really appreciate your recommendation. Hope to welcome you back again soon on another great adventure with us! Best regards, Breakfree Adventures Team

Kathmandu: Chisapani Nagarkot Trek 2 Nights 3 Days: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Kathmandu: Chisapani Nagarkot Trek 2 Nights 3 Days cost?

+

Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kathmandu: Chisapani Nagarkot Trek 2 Nights 3 Days take?

+

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Kathmandu: Chisapani Nagarkot Trek 2 Nights 3 Days worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kathmandu: Chisapani Nagarkot Trek 2 Nights 3 Days?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kathmandu: Chisapani Nagarkot Trek 2 Nights 3 Days suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Kathmandu: Chisapani Nagarkot Trek 2 Nights 3 Days?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kathmandu: Chisapani Nagarkot Trek 2 Nights 3 Days start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
