Great time with a great guide.
You don't have to be a huge Jimmy fan to appreciate this tour. His impact on this town is enormous. It was great getting key lime pie along the way.

Not Sure Tour Guide Had Even Heard Of Buffett Before Opening His Binder
This was not good. The tour guide knew very little, if anything, about Buffett. He simply read one or two sentences from a binder at each stop. He was factually incorrect about key details in Buffett history and was unable to answer basic follow-up questions from the group. Technically, he didn't know how to operate his headset and speaker, so people kept telling him they couldn't hear him. He also talked with his back to the group, which made him even more difficult to understand. If you're a parrothead or just a casual Buffett fan, you'll know way more about Jimmy than this tourguide. Don't waste your money.
Response from the operator: Hi Chad, this is an extremely strange situation. We had a tour guide who thought it was a good idea to send her boyfriend to do the tour instead of herself. Bad idea! We were totally unaware of this until your review. We deeply apologize for what happened on your tour and want to make it up to you by offering you free vouchers to any of our tours on a future visit to Key West.

Fun Times Learning About Jimmy’s History
This was a fun and informative tour, and our guide (J.P.) was excellent. I would recommend this tour to any Jimmy Buffett fan.
Response from the operator: Thanks Brian for the great review! So glad you enjoyed our tour!!!

Emily knows her stuff!
Emily was amazing and certainly a major fan and also her love of Key West shown through. Thought i was a fan, but dang I learned a lot! She was funny but knowledgeable. She also was sincerely patient with my 9 & 10 yr old grands as they asked question after question. Relaxing tour and the pace wasn't too bad. One of the best laid back tours we have ever taken!
Response from the operator: Sweeeeett! Thank you for the great review.. So glad we could get you in a Key West State of mind. Glad the grand kids enjoyed it too! I'm sure that would make Jimmy laugh too.

Great walk around old town!
Emily was great! Her passion for KW was obvious. She told us ahead of time she would be mixing other aspects of KW with her Jimmy knowledge and that’s ok. She was off on a couple of facts but that’s ok
Response from the operator: Thanks Mark for the great review.. When you get a chance send us an application and you can be our tour guide.. It's amazing what a smile and good attitude can do!

Why this scores 75
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Jimmy Buffett Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Key West.
How much does Jimmy Buffett Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Key West usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Jimmy Buffett Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Key West is not rushed.
Is Jimmy Buffett Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 319 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Key West, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Jimmy Buffett Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Jimmy Buffett Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Jimmy Buffett Tour?
+
Around 112 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Key West can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Key West and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Jimmy Buffett Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Key West within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Key West?
+
Key West is a boat town. The only living coral barrier reef in the continental US sits seven miles offshore, and reef trips, sunset catamarans and backcountry kayak runs are the core bookings, alongside Hemingway house and Duval history walks. Our ranking weighs boat capacity and reef site rotation, which separates the good operators from the party cruises. On Outty we rank every Key West experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Shark and Wildlife Viewing Adventure in Key West, Southernmost Food & Cultural Walking Tour by Key West Food Tours, Half-Day Trip from Key West with Kayaking, Snorkeling & Sunset. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Key West?
+
December to April, dry season and calm reef water. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Key West?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
