10000/10 experience, you need to book

This was my first time going solo to Key West and I wanted to make the most of it. I did much research into the things I wanted to do prior to booking them. This was nothing short of an amazing experience, especially with going solo! Josh our guide for the tour and was very patient with explaining to me how to work a jet ski (first time) and giving me tips on how to drive it better. We were given time at the beginning to ride around and get more comfortable with going fast, which was greatly appreciated. By the end of the tour I was going 40 mph while standing up and popping over waves. He was very knowledgeable about the island and the history around the smaller islands next to Key West and stock island. He took us to a little area where we were able to swim and swing into a water on a rope swing which was very fun. Josh also offered to take photos of me which came out great! :) I would absolutely book this again. I went on the two hour tour and don’t regret it at all. Six fins is one of the smaller jet ski rental/tours and I'm all for helping out the smaller companies ran by locals trying to thrive on the island! Thank you so much six fins and Josh for a wonderful time. Ill see ya next time :)

Response from the operator: What a transformation—from a first-time jet ski rider to standing up and riding waves at 40 mph! 🌊🏁 Samantha, we love hearing how Josh’s patience, instruction, and encouragement helped you build confidence and make your solo Key West adventure so memorable. Our small-group format is a big part of the Six Fins experience. Having time to get comfortable on the Yamaha WaveRunner, learn from a knowledgeable local guide, explore Key West and the surrounding islands, stop for a swim, and even get some great photos is exactly what our 2-hour Key West jet ski tour is all about. We especially appreciate your 5-star Viator review and your support of a locally owned Key West business. You did your research and chose the only 2-hour island lap in Key West—approximately 28 miles with 30 extra minutes on the water compared with the typical 90-minute tour. We’re thrilled it lived up to your expectations. Josh will love the shout-out. We’ll be ready for you the next time you’re in Key West! 😎 — David McFadden, Owner, and the Six Fins Jet Ski Rental Team | Key West

Great time out on the water.

Great tour, it was rough the day we were booked. We spent most of the time bayside but our guides Landon and Manny did a great job making it a fun trip. The group we were out with had some inexperienced riders. The guides took everyone out to free-ride in a huge area so they could get familiar with the Ski’s. This helped the new riders. They have Yamaha VX Cruisers that are fairly heavy and cut through the waves well. Then our guide Landon took us out to see some sights and do some high speed riding. We usually stay in the middle or upper keys and wanted to explore another area for riding. We are glad we tried six fins my wife and I had a great time!

Response from the operator: One of the advantages of our small-group, 2-hour Key West jet ski tour is exactly what you experienced—the flexibility to adjust the ride for the conditions and each rider’s comfort level. Landon and Manny did a great job giving newer riders time to build confidence in our supervised freestyle area before Landon took you out for sightseeing and some high-speed riding. We’re also glad you appreciated our Yamaha VX WaveRunners and how well they handled the rougher water. It means a lot that you and your wife ventured down from the Middle and Upper Keys to ride with Six Fins and left glad you did! We hope you’ll join Landon, Manny, and the crew again for another 2-hour Key West jet ski adventure. 🌊🏁 — David McFadden, Owner, and the Six Fins Jet Ski Rental Team | Key West

We’re thrilled Nacho made your Key West jet ski tour one of the coolest experiences of your vacation. This is a great small company. One of the things that was unique is they let us have an area that was a free ride. And you could just ride around as much as you wanted to and enjoy the jet ski! Manny was amazing, ask for him! He made it so fun, lots of knowledge about the area. Bonus we got to see US fighter jets fly ride over us.

Response from the operator: Dear Shannon, Thank you for the fantastic 5-star Viator review! We love hearing that Manny made your Key West jet ski adventure so much fun with his local knowledge and great guiding. You chose the only 2-hour island lap in Key West—our 28-mile guided jet ski tour from Hurricane Hole Marina, with 30 extra minutes on the water compared with the typical 90-minute tour. When conditions allow, our supervised freestyle riding area gives guests time to really enjoy their Yamaha WaveRunners. And seeing U.S. fighter jets overhead was an incredible bonus! Thank you for choosing Six Fins Jet Ski Rental and for recommending Manny by name. We hope to see you back for another 2-hour Key West jet ski tour! 🌊🏁 — David McFadden, Owner, and the Six Fins Jet Ski Rental Team | Key West

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Key West.

How much does Key West 2-Hour Guided Jet Ski Island Tour – 28-Mile Full Lap cost?

    +

Prices start at $225 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Key West usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Key West 2-Hour Guided Jet Ski Island Tour – 28-Mile Full Lap take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Key West is not rushed.

Is Key West 2-Hour Guided Jet Ski Island Tour – 28-Mile Full Lap worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 81 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Key West, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Key West 2-Hour Guided Jet Ski Island Tour – 28-Mile Full Lap?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Key West 2-Hour Guided Jet Ski Island Tour – 28-Mile Full Lap suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Key West 2-Hour Guided Jet Ski Island Tour – 28-Mile Full Lap?

    +

Around 28 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Key West can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Key West and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Key West within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Key West?

    +

Key West is a boat town. The only living coral barrier reef in the continental US sits seven miles offshore, and reef trips, sunset catamarans and backcountry kayak runs are the core bookings, alongside Hemingway house and Duval history walks. Our ranking weighs boat capacity and reef site rotation, which separates the good operators from the party cruises. On Outty we rank every Key West experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Shark and Wildlife Viewing Adventure in Key West, Southernmost Food & Cultural Walking Tour by Key West Food Tours, Half-Day Trip from Key West with Kayaking, Snorkeling & Sunset. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Key West?

    +

December to April, dry season and calm reef water. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Key West?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
