What you'll see and do

  1. Le Tour De India

The Ride Begins with slow walks through the pastoral paths, to master the walk it’s important to relax in the saddle. We trot on these pompous horses through the open fields as the cold breeze is brushing against us. Amidst the lush green fields, we take a short stop at a house for our horses to drink some water while we enjoy some freshly picked fruits from the fields and a hot cup of tea. We then continue to ride through the village. In this beautiful morning, we will see how the rural India wakes up and continue their morning chores. We then get the horses canter into the sandy river beds heading into the village farmlands where the village folk are exhilarated at the sight of these majestic animals galloping through the fields. One may feel like the regal Maharaja of the ancient era who has come to check if everything is running fine in his territory. Moreover, the ride in the countryside or to the off-beaten trails offers ample excitement.

A really wonderful experience on all counts, horse riding and hosting.

I found Le Tour De Inde on the internet and followed up reviews on Trip Advisor in the hope that with no personal recommendation it would be a good experience. I should not have worried, even though I booked out of season in the month of May and could only go for two days everyone went out of their way to accommodate me and I had a wonderful time.

Best Activity Company You Can Work with in All of India!

Where to start? The service I received from Le Tour de India was simply the best that I experienced during my entire month in India. I contacted Khush because I was a solo traveler and wanted to experience riding a Marwari horse, however the activity was listed for a minimum of two people. Khush made it happen for me! I also got to take a Polo lesson which was quite the treat as well. The family at Dera Ashwa are simply a delight, and it was a true privilege to get to ride with people of generations and generations of experience as horsemen. The horses were in impeccable condition as well. I will never forget the experience of riding one of the rarest horse breeds in the world, the beauty of the Rajasthani countryside, and the warmth and hospitality shown to me by Le Tour de India. There is solid reason this company is ranked #1. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review! We are delighted that your experience with Le Tour De India was one of the most memorable parts of your India trip. It was our pleasure to make the Marwari horse ride happen for you as a solo traveler, and we’re so glad you enjoyed the Polo lesson as well. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the company of the family at Dera Ashwa and could experience riding with generations of skilled horsemen. It’s wonderful to hear that the horses, the Rajasthani countryside, and the unique experience of riding one of the rarest horse breeds left a lasting impression on you. Your appreciation of our team and service means a lot to us. Going the extra mile to make sure every guest has a special experience is something we always strive for. We are so happy to know that you would highly recommend us, and we hope to welcome you back to Rajasthan for more unforgettable adventures in the future! Warm regards, Team – Le Tour De India

Excellent - Marwari riding at its very best. - Brilliant family.

This really was a wonderful experience. This will be a long one because the whole process was so good and so slick I have to tell every part. I was trying to find experiences with Marwari horses for work and found Khushal and Le Tour de India (who organised the ride) just through google so it was a bit of a leap of faith BUT … I really couldn’t have stumbled on something better . Khush is amazing, firstly he is so charming and relaxed, he helped me with everything right from the start and nothing was too much trouble. He checked all was good with the car to get to the stable and polo field the night before and when my driver didn’t respond, I texted him and he organised a car for me which was very reasonably priced. I arrived at the stables to a beautiful, immaculate green polo pitch and beautifully shaded, airy outdoor ‘stables’ for the horses both Marwari and thoroughbreds for polo, where all the horses can interact. Their condition is excellent, they really are beautiful horses and they are wonderfully happy and relaxed. They have a large arena where they take turns to be turned out. I was met by Davipal (DP) who owns the stables and polo field, He was charming and relaxed and his two lovely children Divyamaan (a polo player) who took me on the ride a fantastic charming person and Rudrakshi a show jumper. I was a little nervous as I hadn’t ridden for a long time so I tried two horses in the arena and chose with their help the horse most suited to my experience. If you haven’t ridden Marwari before , they are a dream to ride, extremely light but very forward going. These particular horses have been broken in purely by Rudrakshi . They are immaculately trained and extremely responsive, sweet natured and keen to get on. For very experienced riders they would be a dream to ride. I have not ridden for a while but I felt safe because of the care all of the people there took of me. I went on a slower ride but will come again to really enjoy the clear ability of these horses. They’re light as a feather but very brave in their nature. Trying Stick and Ball was also really fun. I can recommend. This family are really wonderful, positive, clearly extremely passionate about show jumping, polo Marwari and horses. I really cannot recommend this experience highly enough. It was a joy. I’ll be back for lessons with DP so I can appreciate these horses properly. Marwari are magical. Brave strong, fast and so fine - very impressive the whole thing. I was given a present by Rudrakshi as I left - one of the Marwari shoes in a beautiful bag painted for the memory.

Amazing experience for any horse lover!

My husband and I visited Rajputana Riding & Polo Club during my 50th birthday trip of a lifetime to India. Being an avid equestrian myself, I always try to go riding when we head somewhere exotic, and I knew that I just HAD to try to find somewhere that I could ride the beautiful & exotic Marwari horse. After doing my research online and via Tripadvisor, I was delighted to find that there was somewhere near Jaipur which had some very good reviews. Top of my list is knowing that where I am booking looks after their horses and, second to that, that we will also be safe and looked after. I loved the fact that we would be guided by an ex-Indian Army Captain and that we would be booking at an established riding and polo club – always a big tick from the off. Also that the ride started very early in the morning so the heat of the day would not affect the horses, so another big tick. I had lots of questions which I asked via Tripadvisor and all were answered swiftly and politely. I was given a mobile number for contact via WhatsApp when we were in India and this helped with a very easily arrival process. Our entire visit was wonderful. We were met on arrival by DP Singh, the owner, and he gave us refreshments and helped sort us out with riding boots and helmets. We were both assessed and taken to meet our horses. Both were STUNNING and beautifully kept. The tack was English so familiar and comfortable. We had a short riding assessment in the outdoor menage before heading out for a ride around the countryside and to the river’s edge for photos and a gallop. We were, indeed, accompanied all the way by our ex-Army Captain, and also the stable dog who decided she was going to accompany us for the whole ride! Closely followed also by a support vehicle with refreshments and also a bit of extra support for my husband who found the energetic Marwari a little testing for his limited riding abilities. After returning to the Club, we were given the privileged opportunity of having a ride on two of their Polo ponies and try our hand at the game itself! My husband, an avid Golfer, was a dab hand at Polo, completely showing me up with my weak wrists, but it was hilarious fun and what a great way to finish off the morning. Afterwards we were shown the other polo ponies and their plans for the future and then offered a wonderful home cooked breakfast. We were a little dubious about eating as we had managed to steer clear of the infamous ‘Delhi Belly’ on our trip by playing safe and only eating at the hotels, but we decided to take the risk and we are so glad we did! The lovely omelette set us both up for our long journey back to Dehli and our homebound flight, and we still managed to finish our trip with intact tummies! So I can highly recommend accepting the breakfast offer! Our trip to RRPC was one of the highlights of my holiday of a lifetime and I can highly recommend anyone to experience horse riding in India with the wonderful DP and his team!

A morning ride to remember

While in Rajasthan my husband and I and our two girls of 14 and 12 were keen to try and find a place to ride. It would have been wonderful to go for some days on a horse safari, but we hadn’t enough time, so we settled this time on going for a shorter ride. I’m so happy we came across Khush at Le Tour de India and DP Bana and his stud farm. We were taken in as friends to join a wonderful morning ride through villages and fields outside Jaipur. It was a completely different and wonderful experience to ride the sensitive, spirited and forward-going Marwani horses. Much care was taken by the captain leading the ride to ensure that everyone was managing with their mounts. When we returned after a great ride we sat in the shade to enjoy a lovely spread for breakfast, and then had a great time getting on a couple of the fantastic polo ponies they have at the stables, and trying to play some polo – so much fun! Aside from the wonderful horses and riding, what also made this such a special experience was the warmth and friendliness of all those involved. Khush from Le Tour de India, who organised the morning ride was as helpful as it’s possible to be. I had mentioned to him when we were organising our trip that we’d love to see a polo match while we were in Jaipur, and he written back to say that the season was unfortunately over. But the day we arrived in Jaipur he surprised us by writing to say that he had set things up for us to go and watch a match that evening! Great fun to go to the polo ground and take it all in. DP Bana, who met us and looked after us like family at the polo match and the next day at his stud farm from where we went on our morning ride, was just so generous and warm in including us and introducing us to his friends, who also joined us the next day for the morning ride. Altogether very special, as it felt as though we made a real connection with each other in just a short time. Way over and above the usual tourist experience. Thank you all. Very much hope to see you again.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a lovely review that you have shared with us, We are delighted to know that we were able to make you comfortable with our team and horses and at the end of the day you enjoyed the trip organised for you and your family. With hope to see you again soon. Best Regards Team Le Tour De India

Jaipur Horse Riding Adventure: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jaipur.

How much does Jaipur Horse Riding Adventure cost?

+

Prices start at $167 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jaipur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Jaipur Horse Riding Adventure take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jaipur is not rushed.

Is Jaipur Horse Riding Adventure worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jaipur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Jaipur Horse Riding Adventure?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Jaipur Horse Riding Adventure suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Jaipur Horse Riding Adventure?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jaipur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jaipur and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Jaipur Horse Riding Adventure start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jaipur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Jaipur?

+

On Outty we rank every Jaipur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Sunrise Taj Mahal Tour from Delhi By Car -All inclusive, Private Jaipur Full One Day Tour In Pink City With Guide, Private Full Day Jaipur Sightseeing Tour By Tuk Tuk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jaipur?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jaipur?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
