Educational Gem Tour in Jaipur
We’re visiting Jaipur to learn more about Jewellery and the gem process. Our tour guide Zuber was very knowledgeable and showed us an insiders view to Jaipur’s gems and an educational foundation on what to look for. Recommend this tour to anyone looking to understand more about the gems trade in Jaipur.

A journey i will never forget
Mr. Yusuf made our Golden Triangle tour (Delhi, Jaipur & Agra) truly unforgettable. As a passionate guide and a hereditary jeweler, he shared his deep knowledge with genuine enthusiasm and heart. His jewelry tour in Jaipur was fascinating, and I even found a beautiful piece to take home. He went above and beyond in every way, even taking amazing photos for us. Highly recommended!

The best choice for gem and jewelry tours in Jaipur!
I traveled to India alone, hoping to learn about a very specific jewelry making technique. I reached out to Yusuf and gave him a list of everything I was hoping to see and do while in Jaipur, and he found a way to check off every item on my list! Yusuf has been around gems his whole life, and he was very generous with his time and knowledge. He taught me what prices were fair for different types of stones (and made sure I didn’t overpay!) and also taught me about manufacturing and business models in the jewelry industry. In only 3.5 days, we: - visited artisans so I could see them work and ask questions - visited high-end showrooms and saw their manufacturing process - shopped for gems at many different types of establishments - found a way for me to get 1:1 instruction and hands-on practice for the technique I wanted to learn Gems and jewelry expertise aside, Yusuf is very well-connected and knows all the best spots in Jaipur for food, photos, and general sightseeing. I will definitely hire him again next time I’m in Jaipur.

Jewellery making Tour
This was such a great tour, Mr Khan messaged me the afternoon before departure to see what sort of experience I wanted. I was more interested in the manufacturing and cutting, but I think if you wanted to buy gemstones this would also be possible. The tour started with a prompt pickup from the hotel at the agreed time. We drove to a street filled with local workshops, this was not the Tourist shops in the main city. People had the shop fronts open, and had different businesses, selling rough making pre-form gems, selling finished stones. Next we went into the alleys and into the bigger workshops. It was very interesting for me to see the work polishing & cutting. The people were all so very friendly, with some speaking English to talk with. After that we went to some shops to look at finished gemstones and they also sold the rough pieces, which was my interest. I bought some rough, but there was no pressure to buy. We also had a lovely lunch at a popular tourist restaurant with good quality buffet. I very much enjoyed the day and would recommend to anyone interested in buying gems or who works/ has a hobby in the business. The guide Yusuf Khan also offers making silver and gold jewellery. Which can also be delivered to your home address in 10 days.

Great!!must do
I had a wonderful experience — the visit was not only enjoyable but also really educational. I learned so much about different gemstones, from how they’re formed to what makes each one unique. Everything was explained clearly and with so much passion and knowledge that it made the whole process fascinating. I left feeling both inspired and much more informed about gems.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m really happy to hear that the visit was both enjoyable and educational for you. Sharing the story of gemstones from their formation to what makes each one special is something I truly love, and it means a lot to know that this passion came through. I’m glad you left feeling inspired and more confident in your understanding of gems. You’re always welcome back anytime.

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Jaipur Jewelry and Gemstone Crafting Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jaipur.
How much does Jaipur Jewelry and Gemstone Crafting Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $4500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jaipur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Jaipur Jewelry and Gemstone Crafting Experience take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jaipur is not rushed.
Is Jaipur Jewelry and Gemstone Crafting Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jaipur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Jaipur Jewelry and Gemstone Crafting Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Jaipur Jewelry and Gemstone Crafting Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Jaipur Jewelry and Gemstone Crafting Experience?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jaipur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jaipur and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Jaipur Jewelry and Gemstone Crafting Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jaipur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jaipur?
+
On Outty we rank every Jaipur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Sunrise Taj Mahal Tour from Delhi By Car -All inclusive, Private Jaipur Full One Day Tour In Pink City With Guide, Private Full Day Jaipur Sightseeing Tour By Tuk Tuk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jaipur?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jaipur?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
