One spot for swimming that's it
It was a beautiful day on a boat. But here's my problem. It was described as a day swimming in several spots; we only stayed in one. After swimming in the first spot having lunch, I assume we were going to a second spot. Well, I sat and waited and waited and waited and we didn't move and I asked if we were going to another spot and the gentleman I asked said yes for and I waited and I waited and we didn't move… Then I asked another gentleman are we going to another spot and he said no we're staying in this one spot… Well, it would've nice to know that because I would've gone back in the water instead of waiting to go to another spot. No one communicated that it was one spot the ad said several spots and that kind of put a damper on the day if it's going to be one spot, they need to change their description. And if they decide to stay in one spot instead of several spots that needs to be communicated, no one communicated that that is a major Problem… That being said, I love the boat trip and I love the swimming, but don't tell me it's several spots and that it's one I was not the only one who felt this way on the trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the boat trip and swimming experience, and we’d also like to clarify the swimming-stop point. Our current itinerary is designed around **one carefully selected swimming location**, as stated in the tour description: *“anchoring at a carefully selected swimming spot.”* The itinerary does not mention a second or multiple swimming stops. There are limited suitable swimming areas around Istanbul that provide the conditions we want for our guests, and traveling between different swimming locations can take a considerable amount of time. Rather than spending a large part of the day cruising between stops, we prefer to anchor at what we consider the best available location and give our guests **more time to swim, relax, have lunch, and enjoy the boat**. However, we completely understand your frustration regarding the communication on board. When you asked whether the boat would move to another swimming location, you should have received a clear and consistent answer immediately. We apologize for the confusion this caused and will make sure our crew communicates the day’s program more clearly. Thank you again for joining us and for your kind words about the boat and swimming. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you aboard again

A day from unforgettable memories
We had so much fun, it was fantastic, we were very pleased.

Those who don't try it will regret it.
We had a lot of fun. It was a really great day. Finding a suitable place to swim in Istanbul is very difficult, and this is a fantastic solution to that problem. The opportunity to swim by jumping from a boat in the beautiful bays of the islands is a rare find. I definitely recommend it.

Istanbul Islands Swimming Tour with Lunch and Boat Cruise: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.
How much does Istanbul Islands Swimming Tour with Lunch and Boat Cruise cost?
+
Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Istanbul Islands Swimming Tour with Lunch and Boat Cruise take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.
Is Istanbul Islands Swimming Tour with Lunch and Boat Cruise worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Istanbul Islands Swimming Tour with Lunch and Boat Cruise?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Istanbul Islands Swimming Tour with Lunch and Boat Cruise suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Istanbul Islands Swimming Tour with Lunch and Boat Cruise?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Istanbul Islands Swimming Tour with Lunch and Boat Cruise start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Istanbul?
+
On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Istanbul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Istanbul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
