A quick half Day shopping tour which good, but not enough.
The tour did not include hotel pick-up which was not convenient when you cannot speak the language but once we found each other, the guide Muriel did an excellent job of showing us the spice Bazaar, a Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. However, since was only a half day SHOPPING tour, the Mosque visit took too much time away from our limited shopping experience. Muriel spoke excellent English and tried to get us the areas of our interest, but the Bazaars are huge and takes more time than is available. Muriel directed us to authentic Turkish cuisine for lunch that was excellent.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your detailed and constructive feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time with our guide Muriel and that her knowledge, guidance, and recommendations—especially for lunch—enhanced your experience. Your kind words about her will be greatly appreciated. At the same time, we understand your comments regarding the duration and structure of the tour. As this is designed as a half-day program, time management between sightseeing and shopping can sometimes feel limited, especially in such large and vibrant areas like the Grand Bazaar. Your feedback regarding the mosque visit and shopping time is very valuable and will help us review and improve the balance of the itinerary. We also appreciate your note about hotel pick-up, and we will take this into consideration for future improvements. Thank you once again for your honest feedback, and we hope to welcome you again for a longer and even more fulfilling experience in Istanbul. Warm regards, Plan Tours – Gray Line Turkey

Don't buy at the markets. Rip off and tea has bugs in it!
Prepare to be hassled and completely ripped off!! They are shameless and will completely rip you off. They also sexualise women. Would not advise being a solo woman traveller. And be careful buying tea from the spice bazzar. I had to throw all mine out when I got home as I found bugs all through it! Literally money thrown in the rubbish!
Response from the operator: Hello, On what date did you go on the tour, and what was your guide’s name? Since we couldn’t find a customer name that matches your nickname, we need more details to proceed. Could you please send us photos of the defective products and provide more details about your complaint regarding the attitude towards women?

Terrible experience :(
DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR! My tour guide provided almost no information about the history of the bazaar, and took me to an offsite store where I was expected to spend over $500 on a counterfeit designer handbag while my guide sat down and was served coffee - I assume she got a kick-back by bringing tourists to this store. When we finally arrived at the bazaar, she spent the entire time staring at her phone and I finally dismissed her and continued my tour of the site on my own.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience, as this is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide. Your comments regarding the lack of guiding, the visit to an offsite store, and the overall conduct of the guide are taken very seriously. Please kindly note that our company has a strict policy against any form of pressure on guests to make purchases, and guided tours should always focus on providing informative and engaging experiences. What you have described does not reflect our standards. We would appreciate the opportunity to investigate this matter further. If possible, kindly share your booking details with us so we can review the situation internally and take the necessary actions. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We truly value your feedback and hope to have the chance to restore your trust in our services. Warm regards, Plan Tours – Gray Line Turkey

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Istanbul Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar Shopping Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.
How much does Istanbul Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar Shopping Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Istanbul Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar Shopping Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.
Is Istanbul Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar Shopping Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 30 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Istanbul Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar Shopping Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Istanbul Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar Shopping Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Istanbul Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar Shopping Tour?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Istanbul Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Bazaar Shopping Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Istanbul?
+
On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Istanbul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Istanbul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
