    Discovering beautiful Istanbul

Very correctly we were received by guide and private driver who showed us all the beauty of Istanbul. The tour we could adapt to need. Super fine guide Celal who very skilfully told everything with great enthusiasm

Great tour with a personal touch

There are many options for the private tour. We wanted to see the Asia side and so our tour guide arranged for us to do a ferry over to that side. We went for an authentic Turkish lunch and then stopped by and had some amazing desserts. We did stop by a carpet place and spent some time looking at the rugs, and also had some drinks. It was nice and some of our group bought rugs. They do try to be very accommodating to tourists and want you to spend time there, so we did have to let them know when we wanted to move to the next location. Some of our group wanted to go back to the ship prior to the end of the tour, and we wanted to walk the market... our tour guide sent the car with our group back and then independently walked us through the market and walked us back to our ship. Dave was a great tour house and he had alot of knowledge about the area and its culture. I would recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kindness

Lack of adequate Cruise Port Signage

The port complex is impressive but is let down by the lack of clear signage to the Cruise Port Arrival and Departure Area. Until signage is updated then we will avoid cruises using the port. Those with mobility or disabilities should at present also do the same as we are aware of people ending up walking up to a mile inside the complex.

Response from the operator: This has nothing to do with our tour service. Not releated to our tour.Kind Regards

    +

How far in advance should I book Istanbul city tour from Cruise ship terminal Galataport.?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

What are the best things to do in Istanbul?

    +

On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Istanbul?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Istanbul?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
