The pickup was meant to be @ 8h15. We were advised to be ready @ 08h05. At 8h30, we received a message to meet at Sofitel which was a 2 minute walk from hotel. Whilst waiting, I saw a driver hooting & waving, he was across at Taksim Square. It took over an hour just for pick-ups, so we did not get to take the ferry across but we got the ferry on the return, which was around 8pm. The tour was very long with a lot of unnecessary stops eg quad biking & toilet stop which took at least half an hour. I told the guide, he should be more firm. This is a tourist group & people should be respectful with time. We did quad biking in Capadoccia, so wasn't interested in that at all. There should definitely be a shortened trip option. Lunch was not great. On return, tour guide Yakup Ibrahim, got off at a stop before the tourists were dropped, which I found strange. We only got back to the hotel @ 10pm, so would definitely have preferred a far shorter day trip to Bursa. Guides should give 10 minutes waiting time for pick-ups. If tourists are on time, will definitely cut time. Even at stops, it's always waiting for everyone. There is so much to do & see in Turkey. We were on many tours throughout our stay and tourists on other trips were respectful on time.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the return ferry and appreciate your comments on the long day, delays, stops, and lunch. We’re sorry the schedule made the experience more tiring than expected, and we understand your wish for a shorter Bursa option. Kind regards 🧿 Tourmania Team

    Uludag experience

Uludag mountain is wonderful- you need to take the optional chairlift to get to the peak but worth the money - Guide needs to allow more time at the peak and Bursa - Trip is very long with a lot of shopping experiences in the morning and Bursa and Uludag visits in the afternoon but this is explained in the description and Bursa is a long way from Istanbul so a lot of travelling. Booking system doesnt pass on passport or comments details so expect lots of messages from provider

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed Uludağ Mountain and found the chairlift experience worthwhile, as well as appreciating the beauty of Bursa during your visit. We also value your comments regarding the itinerary pacing and free time at key stops, and we will certainly take this into consideration for future improvements. Regarding your note about travel distance, shopping stops, and communication, we appreciate your understanding that Bursa is a full-day journey from Istanbul and that the program includes scheduled cultural and local experiences as outlined. We also take your comment about booking details and communication seriously and will review this process to improve guest experience. We truly appreciate your honest feedback and hope to welcome you again for another memorable tour in Türkiye. Kind Regards 🧿Tourmania Team

    Terrible trip to Bursa

The trip was very badly organised. The guide did not speak English. He did not give a commentary. We were promised a BBQ it was a sub standard plate of good in a terrible roadside shack. No hot drink was provided. The guide didn’t time talking to his friends and having a cup of tea. We could not

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the Bursa and Uludag Mountain Day Trip. We sincerely apologize that the tour did not meet your expectations. We completely understand your frustration regarding the guide’s communication, commentary, and the meal. Please rest assured that we are investigating this issue with our operational team and taking immediate steps to ensure future tours are properly organized and enjoyable for all guests. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you on a smoother and more memorable Tourmania experience soon. Kind Regards 🧿Tourmania Team

Istanbul: Bursa and Uludag Mountain Day Trip with Cable Car: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Istanbul.

How much does Istanbul: Bursa and Uludag Mountain Day Trip with Cable Car cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Istanbul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Istanbul: Bursa and Uludag Mountain Day Trip with Cable Car take?

    +

Plan for about 14 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Istanbul is not rushed.

Is Istanbul: Bursa and Uludag Mountain Day Trip with Cable Car worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 112 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Istanbul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Istanbul: Bursa and Uludag Mountain Day Trip with Cable Car?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Istanbul: Bursa and Uludag Mountain Day Trip with Cable Car suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 14-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Istanbul: Bursa and Uludag Mountain Day Trip with Cable Car?

    +

Around 39 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Istanbul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Istanbul and add a light layer if any part of the 14-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Istanbul: Bursa and Uludag Mountain Day Trip with Cable Car start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Istanbul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Istanbul?

    +

On Outty we rank every Istanbul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Istanbul 1, 2 or 3-Day Private Guided Istanbul Tour, Istanbul Luxury Bosphorus Yacht Cruise with Asian Side Stop, ISTANBUL BEST: Iconic Landmarks Full Day PRIVATE Guided City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Istanbul?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Istanbul?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
