The best tour
Kevin and group was great really pending of all of us.

Great visit on Cozumel
Kevin was a fantastic guide. He shared lots of cultural and historic information about the island and its early Mayan inhabitants, drove us on a beautiful sightseeing tour, making stops for photos, beautiful beaches, a lesson on tequila making including a wonderful tasting, and we even saw crocodiles. He was friendly (seemed like he knew everyone on the island) and professional, a great driver and he was willing to cater our tour to our timetable and interests. We can’t recommend him enough!
Response from the operator: "Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that Kevin provided such a fantastic and personalized experience. It’s great to know you enjoyed the mix of Mayan history, the tequila tasting, and the local wildlife—spotting crocodiles is always a highlight! Kevin takes great pride in knowing every corner of the island and tailoring the tour to our guests' interests. We will be sure to share your kind words with him. We hope to welcome you back to Island Tour Kuxtal very soon!"

Exceptional people, fantastic experience
We went on a royal caribbean cruise which stopped at two ports. We read through all of the excursions through the cruise line and were told to also check out viator. I spent an hour reading through all the excursions and reviews and decided based upon previous reviews to do the excursion with Kuxtal. I can not say enough how much we loved this entire experience. The vehicles are in great shape, but it’s the tour guides who really stood out to us. They accommodated our large group with two cars. Jorge and Julio were our guides and they took us all over to the best places for our group. They shared so much about their life and culture which really made it feel as though you were spending time with friends. They started our tour with taking us to a perfect souvenir shop. We then did a tequila tour at rancho Alejandro where we met Manny!!! He was so fabulous as well and our family so enjoyed the time there. Left with some amazing tequila. They then took us to this really neat beach spot where the kids could play and the water was so clear we could see all the fish. We had a tasty lunch on the beach and ended the day with a chocolate tour, which was well worth it. Honestly, I really can’t put words to how fabulous this experience was but all of my kids said it was the highlight of trip. We even told other cruisers we met the next day in costa maya about our trip and they changed their booking to go with Kuxtal. We look forward to going back!!! Thank you so so much.

Wonderful tour of Cozumel
Our guide Landy modified our tour according to our interest. She drove us around the island, explained the history and folklore of the area and stopped in the best spots for pictures. We highly recommend this company and our guide Landy. She was amazing!

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Island Tour Kuxtal: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.
How much does Island Tour Kuxtal cost?
+
Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Island Tour Kuxtal take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.
Is Island Tour Kuxtal worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 69 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Island Tour Kuxtal?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Island Tour Kuxtal suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Island Tour Kuxtal?
+
Around 24 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Island Tour Kuxtal start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cozumel?
+
On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cozumel?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cozumel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
