A good day out but lunch was disappointing and chaotic. Too many people. Islas Mujeres was very busy and touristy but we had a fun day. The catamaran crew were very attentive with drinks.

We enjoyed the trip. The pickup service was on time and our driver was excellent. There was a bit of waiting around at the marina but there were facilities to use. The boat crew were excellent and kept the drinks flowing, both alcoholic and non. We got seats at the back of the boat but everyone else sat upfront. The snorkelling was good but only about 20 mins. When we arrived at the island we went to a jewellery store where we could use the facilities, this was also our meeting point for our return to the boat. The beach club restaurant was very busy. It was a buffet but the food wasn’t great. After lunch we had free time to wander around the shops and spend time on the beach but we thought it was a bit too long to be honest. The return boat ride was good with more drinks if you wanted them. The whole trip from Playacar was about 11 hours long.

amazing activity , fee problem for foreign currency

We had an amazing time on the Isla Mujeres Premium Catamaran Tour! 🌴🌊 The catamaran was beautiful, the water was absolutely stunning, and the whole experience was fun, relaxing, and well organised. The transportation from Playa del Carmen was very convenient, and the crew were friendly and helpful throughout the day. A perfect way to enjoy the Caribbean and explore Isla Mujeres. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ however, the only problem was the fee at the marina, where each person supposed to pay $25USD and we were 2 people, and we were charged $70USD instead of $50USD, i don’t wanna throw people off because it was a great activity probably the best one we did but when you’re on vacation you don’t expect these charging problems. always double check the currency and how much you’re paying.

The boat was very small....

The boat was very small. Not enough shade. No chairs either. From what my family said is that the drinks were watered down too.

Overrated island, won’t be back.

The drive on the shuttle was horrendous. Hot, no air conditioning and we packed the van so full two had to sit up front with the driver. Nauseating to say the least. The catamaran was beautiful, the staff were attentive and friendly. We were asked to come and take pictures not realizing we were going to be sold to later. We didn’t bother looking at them and this seemed to upset the staff when we politely declined reviewing them. The water was absolutely stunning. The most perfect aquamarine but it was a choppy day. Nonetheless the staff on the Toucan were attentive and kept drinks flowing. Lunch was on the island of isla mujeres after showing us our meeting point which so conveniently was a souvenir shop and jewelry store. Regardless, the staff weren’t pushy and told us to be careful of scammers on the streets. They see your wristband from your hotel and call out “hey I know you from the _____ hotel!” They don’t know you, it’s a ploy to get you to come and talk and buy. The lunch was mediocre at best. Nothing to write home about. The free 2 hour island time was spent walking around getting harassed by shop owners saying “hey lady” and “come here beautiful” and asking you to try free tequila. We could get a chair on the beach because they were all taken and they charge you to sit on a beach chair, so we were forced to walk around getting harassed in the heat. There is literally nothing to do on the island and it’s pretty dirty. It’s all tourist shops and souvenir places. Avoid. Boat ride back was fun. If we could have just done the boat, it would have been great. Shuttle ride back to riviera maya was another 2 hour drive. This time we sat up front and got a slice of air conditioning. Those poor people in the back :(
