This tour operator needs time management and communication coaching

The ferry ride was very much standard. Not very pleased with time management as it relates to the tour company. We were told about STRICT return boarding time upon arrival to our destinations. Our second stop (Poros) gave us less than 30 minutes to explore and we were rushed back on the ferry. On Agena, the tour operators took two full tour buses on the island. Well they were 30 minutes LATE back beyond our strict return time. After leaving, no explanation, no apologies, nothing. Very poor customer service and communication. Not worth the price they charge.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback and we informed the cruisescompany accordingly. The return boarding times announced at each island are indeed strict and necessary for operational and safety reasons, as the cruise must follow a scheduled maritime timetable approved by the port authorities. Regarding Poros, the stop duration is exactly as described in the itinerary and is shorter compared to the other islands due to port scheduling restrictions. This is standard for all one-day cruises operating this route and is clearly known in advance. Concerning the delay in Aegina, please note that on that specific day there was a temporary delay caused by the late return of optional excursion coaches transporting passengers back to the port. In such situations, the vessel cannot depart leaving guests behind. While we understand this may have been frustrating, the delay affected all passengers equally and was not intentional disregard toward guests onboard. We also note that your review focuses entirely on timing matters and not on the cruise experience itself, the islands visited, onboard services, staff, meals, or overall organization provided during the day. Customer satisfaction remains important to us, and we always strive to deliver the best possible experience within the operational realities of a busy shared day cruise. Best regards, Hara Kritikidou Customer Service Manager

Too many people on board, very crowded.

Too many people on board, very crowded and can not enjoy the time on boat, lunch was very basic and poor chose.

Response from the operator: Dear Kristine, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that your experience on board did not fully meet your expectations. Please allow us to clarify a few points regarding the cruise conditions. As this is a shared cruise, guest capacity is managed in accordance with the official winter operational protocol, which allows for up to 300 passengers on board. While the vessel was operating within these regulated limits, we understand that it may have felt crowded at times, and we truly regret any discomfort this may have caused. Regarding the lunch service, the meal is offered in buffet style and includes a variety of options designed to cater to different tastes. We are sorry to hear that it did not meet your expectations in terms of selection or quality, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we will make sure to share your comments with the relevant team for review and improvement. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future and provide you with a more enjoyable experience. Thank you Hara

Great way to see a few islands

I did this tour because my boat tour of the Aegean was cancelled due to inclement weather. This tour was a great way to see a couple of islands in 1 day. Made for a really long day though

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Hydra, Poros and Egina Day Cruise from Athens with Optional VIP Upgrade cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hydra, Poros and Egina Day Cruise from Athens with Optional VIP Upgrade take?

    +

Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Hydra, Poros and Egina Day Cruise from Athens with Optional VIP Upgrade worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 1,316 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hydra, Poros and Egina Day Cruise from Athens with Optional VIP Upgrade?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hydra, Poros and Egina Day Cruise from Athens with Optional VIP Upgrade suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hydra, Poros and Egina Day Cruise from Athens with Optional VIP Upgrade?

    +

Around 461 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hydra, Poros and Egina Day Cruise from Athens with Optional VIP Upgrade start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
