    You should do this

Wonderful Experience! We went with a group and had a wonderful time. The space was lovely and welcoming, the chefs were very helpful and clear with explanations. We made a traditional Hungarian dish called langoss and lived the end result. Highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Lángos Making Class and had a wonderful time in our kitchen. It is always a pleasure to introduce guests to one of Hungary’s most iconic street foods and show how authentic Hungarian lángos is made from scratch. I am especially pleased that you enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere, the hands-on cooking experience, and the clear guidance throughout the class. My goal is not only to teach guests how to prepare traditional Hungarian food, but also to share a little of Hungary’s culinary culture and traditions along the way. Thank you for your recommendation. It means a lot to me, and I hope to welcome you back to one of my Hungarian cooking classes the next time you visit Budapest.

    Charming, informative, delicious!

Rozi and Peter met us at the door and immediately put us all at ease. Rozi was our teacher and explained what longos were, and how they came about. She had all the ingredients measured out in separate containers on the workbench, then explained each one before giving us each an opportunity to add or mix ingredients. If a special tech nique was needed, she would demonstrate first, then encourage several people to try, correcting them gently and clearly if they missed the mark. Once the dough was kneaded and proved , we each, in turn, stretched a ball of dough into a disc and gently lowered it into hot oil. When each langos was golden brown, it was quickly drained of hot oil and plated, ready for toppings. Scrumptious! Rozi s patience, clear communication and encouragement gave even the most inexperienced cooks the impetus to complete the tasks, and it was good. A glass of wine and our finished masterpieces were our rewards!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful review! We are delighted that you enjoyed our Hungarian Lángos Making Class in Budapest and that Rozi helped make the experience both fun and approachable. We believe that the best way to discover Hungarian food culture is through hands-on cooking, and we're happy you enjoyed every step of the process—from mixing and kneading the dough to frying and topping your own authentic lángos. Thank you for your kind words about Rozi's teaching style, patience, and encouragement. Creating a welcoming environment where everyone can successfully prepare this iconic Hungarian street food is exactly what we strive for. We are especially grateful for your recommendation—it truly means a lot to us.

Make Homemade Langos in a fun cooking class

This is a very interactive and fun cooking class for any age or group of people. We were on a “girl trip” with Viking in Budapest. Marti is enthusiastic, skilled, and entertaining. Her facilities are perfect for a cooking class and the food was absolutely delicious. You will actively participate in the class and eat what you cook! Marti sends the recipes to you via e mail after the class. We all enjoyed the class and were glad we signed up for it.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It was a real pleasure to welcome your Viking group to our Budapest Langos Making Class. I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed the hands-on cooking experience, the atmosphere, and of course the fresh homemade Hungarian Langos 😊 My goal is always to offer an authentic and interactive Hungarian culinary experience where guests can actively cook, learn about local food culture, and enjoy traditional Hungarian flavors together in a friendly kitchen studio in Budapest. Thank you again for joining us during your trip to Hungary, and I hope the recipes will help you recreate the Langos at home as well!

Hungarian Langos Making Class: The No. 1 Street Food in Hungary: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Budapest.

How much does Hungarian Langos Making Class: The No. 1 Street Food in Hungary cost?

    +

Prices start at $82 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Budapest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hungarian Langos Making Class: The No. 1 Street Food in Hungary take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Budapest is not rushed.

Is Hungarian Langos Making Class: The No. 1 Street Food in Hungary worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 60 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Budapest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hungarian Langos Making Class: The No. 1 Street Food in Hungary?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hungarian Langos Making Class: The No. 1 Street Food in Hungary suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hungarian Langos Making Class: The No. 1 Street Food in Hungary?

    +

Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Budapest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Budapest and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hungarian Langos Making Class: The No. 1 Street Food in Hungary start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Budapest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Budapest?

    +

On Outty we rank every Budapest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Budapest City Landmarks Walking Tour in 2 Hours, Countryside Half-day Gastro-Wine Tour from Budapest Meal & pickup, Budapest free walking tour: Parliament and Shoes Memorial. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Budapest?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Budapest?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
