About this experience
This isn't just "old jewelry." The Holy Crown of Hungary has a history more dramatic than a Netflix series—it’s been stolen, buried, lost, and returned by the U.S. government. You will stand in the massive, 27-meter-high Dome Hall, watched over by stoic guards with drawn sabers, to see the crown and its tilted cross up close. It’s the symbolic heart of the nation. You’ll ascend the Grand Stairway, a space so opulent it makes most European palaces look like a DIY renovation. Imagine walking past massive granite columns—of which only 12 exist in the entire world—under ceilings painted by Károly Lotz. Every inch of the walls is covered in gold leaf and intricate frescoes that tell the story of a thousand-year-old kingdom. f you are between 6-24 and have a valid Student Card you can choose the Youth tickets type

Clear communication and fascinating building
The tour operators are strict about the arrival time, so definitely don’t be late. The parliament audio guide is very helpful- and we enjoyed the experience. Some of the audio regarding the statues was a bit confusing- but that’s not The tour guides fault. I would highly recommend this tour

American trying to navigate Europe
The Hungarian Parliament is a nice place to visit. Buying your tickets through Viator is basically because they bought up all the tickets that were available to the public which would’ve been 50% off and you get there and then you wait outside and you have to get there too early. Then you stand in a group and they go through your passports and if you’re an American, they say you’re fine because you already paid a lot for the ticket anyway and then you basically just get in line and you go through so Viator does nothing for you. It’s literally just a marked up ticket in this case they don’t give you a tour actually you just use the actual audio tour from the parliament so try to go on the Parliament website and get your ticket yourself because this is just a markup. Unfortunately, they bought all the tickets in advance so that when you go on the Parliament website, there’s nothing available kind of a sham in my opinion.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you felt the service did not provide enough added value for the price. We appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration to improve the experience and communication around what is included.

Tour was excellent and...
Tour was excellent and easy since skipped the long line. Well worth the price paid. A must do if in Budapest.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re delighted you enjoyed the tour and found the skip-the-line option worthwhile. We hope to welcome you again in Budapest!

Why this scores 45
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hungarian Parliament Audio Guided Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Budapest.
How much does Hungarian Parliament Audio Guided Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $47 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Budapest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hungarian Parliament Audio Guided Tour take?
+
Plan for about 0.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Budapest is not rushed.
Is Hungarian Parliament Audio Guided Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 168 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Budapest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hungarian Parliament Audio Guided Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Hungarian Parliament Audio Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hungarian Parliament Audio Guided Tour?
+
Around 59 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Budapest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Budapest and add a light layer if any part of the 0.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hungarian Parliament Audio Guided Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Budapest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Budapest?
+
On Outty we rank every Budapest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Budapest City Landmarks Walking Tour in 2 Hours, Countryside Half-day Gastro-Wine Tour from Budapest Meal & pickup, Budapest free walking tour: Parliament and Shoes Memorial. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Budapest?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Budapest?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
