    Nice, but deceiving

Tour was nice, but a bit deceiving. For the standard price, you get a small space to stand on the outside deck. If you want a seat, or in the A/C, then it was another 100 CNY per person. We did get a beer with th is s "VIP" seating.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your honest feedback. We understand the upgrade policy may not have been clear. To clarify: the standard ticket gives access to the open deck for the views, while the indoor seating and A/C are an optional 100 CNY upgrade provided by the cruise operator. We do mention this in the description, but we’ll highlight it more clearly going forward. We hope you still enjoyed the stunning night views of Shanghai – and we appreciate your understanding.

    Great views but shocking facilities

Great views, but these can be obtained from any competing service. The vessel is old, in disrepair and lacks cleanliness and maintenance. There are several public areas used for storage, which detract from the overall presentation. No outdoor seating provided other than in the extra cost area (100 yuan) aft. Buffet is poor, being of limited scope and unappetising - particularly when compared to the geat food available elsewhere in Shanghai. The view is 5 star but all else is 1 star. Would not recommend this experiance. Go elsewhere

    Good experience

Great experience! The food was ok, but not fantastic! However it was a great experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! Delighted you enjoyed the cruise – and we've noted your comments on the food. The real star is the skyline views! Hope to welcome you back!

    Super food cruise

The food is very sub par. Few choices. For.the price not worth it. Would not recommend. No consideration for international travelers.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your honest review. We are genuinely sorry that the dining experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate your candid feedback. We would like to clarify that this Huangpu River night cruise is first and foremost a scenic cruise. The onboard buffet is offered as a convenient dining option during the sailing, rather than a fine‑dining experience. The vessel can accommodate up to 1,000 passengers, and the buffet service is designed to be efficient rather than luxurious. To help future guests make an informed decision: · The main highlight of this cruise is the breathtaking night view of Shanghai's skyline, including the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Bund, and Lujiazui's modern skyscrapers. · The buffet is served from 17:30 to 19:30, and we strongly recommend boarding early to enjoy the best food selection. · For travellers who prioritise dining quality or a quieter atmosphere, we would suggest considering the Crystal Princess Cruise, which accommodates only 350 guests and offers a more upscale experience. We are a booking agency and do not operate the cruise itself. Our rating here reflects the convenience and efficiency of our booking service. If you have any feedback specifically about the cruise operation, dining quality, or onboard service, we kindly encourage you to share those details in your review so that future guests can have a complete picture. We are committed to offering products that meet the expectations of our travellers. However, we continuously review customer feedback, and if a product consistently receives low ratings indicating it does not align with what most guests expect, we may consider removing it from our platform to avoid any potential disappointment. We hope this transparent explanation helps you understand the nature of this offering and assists you in making the right choice for your travel preferences. We appreciate your understanding and hope that, despite the dining disappointment, you were still able to enjoy the stunning views of Shanghai at night.

Nice Experience in the Huangpu River

It was an excellent experience. The company provided us pick up facilities from the hotel we resided. The food quality was also excellent and toothsome. The amazing hospitality was very pleasant.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad you had an excellent experience on the Huangpu River night cruise. It's great to hear that you enjoyed the hotel pick-up, the delicious food, and our warm hospitality. Hope to welcome you back again soon!

Huangpu River Evening Cruise Ticket with Dinner: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Shanghai.

How much does Huangpu River Evening Cruise Ticket with Dinner cost?

    +

Prices start at $27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Shanghai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Huangpu River Evening Cruise Ticket with Dinner take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Shanghai is not rushed.

Is Huangpu River Evening Cruise Ticket with Dinner worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Shanghai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Huangpu River Evening Cruise Ticket with Dinner?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Huangpu River Evening Cruise Ticket with Dinner suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Huangpu River Evening Cruise Ticket with Dinner?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Shanghai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Shanghai and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Huangpu River Evening Cruise Ticket with Dinner start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Shanghai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Shanghai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Shanghai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Shanghai Full Day City Tour with Old and New Highlights, Suzhou Private Day Trip from Shanghai with Bullet Train Option, 4-Hour Flexible Private Shanghai City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Shanghai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Shanghai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
