    Lovely trip

We did the coastal cruise and dinner option which we thought was good value for money. We were a bit surprised that the commentary on the boat was just a recording rather than a guide but it was a nice trip regardless. The food at the pub after was good but unfortunately they didnt have some of the options , limiting what we could have a little and the wait for food was rather long. Both locations were easy to find though and Howath is beautiful, definitely worth a visit if in Dublin and want to escape the city for a few hours.

    Very disorganized. The...

Very disorganized. The excursion itself was ok and the lunch that was included was fantastic. But Viator listed the wrong meeting place and it took an extra hour to figure that out. The tour operator gave very poor meeting instructions. There was no live guide on the boat tour, just a recording.

Response from the operator: Hi Lisa, Thank you for your honest feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience and the miscommunication with the meeting point etc. We have taken your comments onboard and will be directly reviewing them with VIATOR and with our team to ensure directions and all communications are clear & concise. If you would like to discuss further directly with our management team please contact them via howthcliffcruises@gmail.com. Kind Regards, Howth Cliff Cruises team.

    The tour was amazing!

I loved this tour! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and flexible with time. I showed up an hour earlier and they accommodated by putting me on an earlier tour. The tour was the perfect amount of time for people who do not want to spend all day at sea. The restaurant that’s included after the tour was amazing! Friendly staff and the food was top tier.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your cruise and the crew could accommodate your change in schedule. We will be sure to let Wrights know that you also enjoyed their cuisine. We look forward to welcoming you onboard again in the future! Regards, Howth Cliff Cruises.

    Great value and experience

The cruise and dine was perfect! The crew was very knowledgeable about the history and we had the pleasure of seeing puffins and a seal!

Response from the operator: Delighted you enjoyed your cruise & dine experience with us. We hope to see you onboard again in the future. Kind regards, The Howth Cliff Cruises team.

Bloody Stream Restaurant is a “Must Do” in Howth, Ireland

The dinner at the Bloody Stream was fabulous. The food was delicious; there was a fireplace; the staff were great! The staff on the boat were not aware of dinner and cruise option as most of the passengers were on the boat for the cruise option only. We were with an elderly person who had difficulty walking from boat to restaurant. It would have been helpful to have a car service bring her to restaurant after cruise.

Response from the operator: Thanks for the review, we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the food and the boat trip. Apologies that you felt the distance between the restaurant and the pontoon affected the experience so much, we will take your feedback on board

Howth Coastal Cruise and Dine Experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.

How much does Howth Coastal Cruise and Dine Experience cost?

    +

Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Howth Coastal Cruise and Dine Experience take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.

Is Howth Coastal Cruise and Dine Experience worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Howth Coastal Cruise and Dine Experience?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Howth Coastal Cruise and Dine Experience suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Howth Coastal Cruise and Dine Experience?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Howth Coastal Cruise and Dine Experience start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dublin?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dublin?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dublin?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
