An unforgettable experience with Howth Adventures!

Our experience with Howth Adventures exceeded all of our expectations. The day started with a lovely breakfast before we set off on an incredibly beautiful hike along the stunning Howth coastline. Our guide, Shane, was knowledgeable, friendly, and so encouraging throughout the day. He is truly an amazing person and made the experience even more special. Having Loki, the wonderful dog, join us on the hike was so lovely and made the day even more memorable. The scenery in Howth is absolutely breathtaking and definitely worth a visit. This hike became one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Dublin, and it’s an experience we’ll remember for a long time. We highly recommend Howth Adventures to anyone visiting Dublin, and we’ll definitely be recommending it to all of our friends. Warm regards, Elise & Julia from Sweden

Response from the operator: "Highlight of your trip to Dublin" is music to our ears, go raibh míle maith agat Elise and Julia. Shane and Loki no doubt had just as much fun sharing these memories with you. Thank you for helping us spread the word about what we have going on here and sharing your incredible experience with Howth Adventures, it means the world to us.

    Amazing hike with spectacular views!

This hike was absolutely fantastic! Zach was an incredible guide—extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about the area. He made the entire experience fun, informative, and memorable. Locke was an added bonus and such a treat to have along! The views were absolutely breathtaking and made every step worth it. I highly recommend this hike to anyone looking for an amazing outdoor adventure. I wouldn’t recommend it for children under 10. Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, and get ready for an unforgettable experience!

Response from the operator: Jose, Thank you for such an amazing 5 star review! It means the world. Zack (like many of our guides) was born and raised in Howth, and therefore his passion is unmissable. Thank you for appreciating that. We are so happy that Howth Adventures have left such a lasting impression of the beautiful peninsula.

    Howth Coastal Hike

9 of us went on a tour with Sean this morning. Everyone loved it and we learnt so much on the hike. I have previously taken groups with Paul and Zach. They are all fabulous guides and great to get out of Dublin City and see what else there is to explore.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for leaving us a review, and recognising our wonderful guides! So glad to hear that your group enjoyed the Howth Coastal Hike and learnt a lot, a returning guest must mean we are doing something right! Maggi

This was the best guided hike I have been on. You definitely want to be on the fit side as we did about 7 miles and parts were steep. Guide was friendly and quite knowledgeable about a wide variety of things. He told wonderful stories! I would do this hike again.

Howth Safari Hiking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.

How much does Howth Safari Hiking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $49 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Howth Safari Hiking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.

Is Howth Safari Hiking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 284 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Howth Safari Hiking Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Howth Safari Hiking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Howth Safari Hiking Tour?

    +

Around 99 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Howth Safari Hiking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dublin?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dublin?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dublin?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
