Fantastic guide ATVs & Horses ?
ATVs are all over the property which can be kind of dicey if you have a horse that's spooky saw whales as soon as we got there our guide was great
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review! We’re glad you enjoyed seeing the whales and that your guide took great care of you. Your comment about the horse and the ATVs around the property is really valuable to us, we’re always looking for ways to make the experience even better. We’d love to welcome you back to Cactus Tours soon.

Horeseback riding
The horseback riding was great. We really enjoyed it. And the lunch was good too. Be prepared, you only ride the horses for an hour but there is another hour with check in and getting ready. It is very well organized. When you factor in travel there and back, it is a 4 hour excursion for one hour on the horse.

Horseback riding tour Cabo
During our stay at Grand Solmar, we decided to take a horseback riding tour. The ride to the location was about 30 minutes long in a van full of other tourists, mostly through desert landscapes. When we arrived, we were offered an upgrade to a private tour, as they mentioned there could be around 100 people on our tour. We declined to pay the extra $75 per person for the upgrade, and to our surprise, we ended up being the only ones on the tour anyway—a private ride at no extra cost! Our tour guide, Tony, was fabulous. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable. My horse, Don Julio, was very slow, and all the horses seemed quite overweight. Unfortunately, my husband’s horse decided to lay down on the beach, which led to a bit of a scare as he had to roll off quickly. We then had to chase down the horse to continue the ride. As for the photos, we were extremely disappointed. The photographer rarely captured our faces or managed to get us together in a shot. Given the poor quality, we decided not to purchase the photos, especially at the steep price of $120 for all digital prints. While the tour itself was put on well, it became clear that the horses are not cared for to the standards of what one might consider happy and healthy animals. The experience left me feeling uneasy about the treatment and care of the horses, and because of that, I wouldn’t choose to do the ride again. It’s a shame because all the workers, including Tony, were incredibly friendly and helpful. Lastly, they offered food at the end of the tour, but I opted to pass. The food was sitting in chafing dishes, and I could see bees and flies all over it, even though it was covered. I just couldn’t muster the faith to eat it. Overall, while the scenery and the guide were great, the experience was marred by concerns over the welfare of the horses and the disappointing photography. I’d advise others to think carefully before booking this tour if animal welfare is a priority for you.

Horseback Riding Tour in Los Cabos: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cabo San Lucas.
How much does Horseback Riding Tour in Los Cabos cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cabo San Lucas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Horseback Riding Tour in Los Cabos take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cabo San Lucas is not rushed.
Is Horseback Riding Tour in Los Cabos worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cabo San Lucas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Horseback Riding Tour in Los Cabos?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Horseback Riding Tour in Los Cabos suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Horseback Riding Tour in Los Cabos?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cabo San Lucas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cabo San Lucas and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Horseback Riding Tour in Los Cabos start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cabo San Lucas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas?
+
On Outty we rank every Cabo San Lucas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Cabo San Lucas, Cabo Desert Off-Road & Beach Horseback Combo and Tequila Tasting, Cabo All-Inclusive Private Beach Club with Open Bar and Buffet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cabo San Lucas?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cabo San Lucas?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
