Horrible operator
We wouldn’t know that the experience went well or not because the shuttle never showed up to pick us up. Operator texted us the day before and stated that we would be changing the time to 3pm instead of 10am and we agreed on that. Stated that we needed to be at the main gate 10 mins earlier. We waited at our security gate for an hour and no answer to our text messages with the operator. We asked for a refund and they stated that we cannot get a refund because we were not at the gate at the stated time which we were 20 minutes early then the stated time. I would not recommended this to anyone.
Response from the operator: We are sorry you were unable to join the activity. According to our records, you were not at the designated pickup location at the agreed time. Our team was present and available as scheduled. Despite this misunderstanding, we were willing to discuss a refund and find a solution. Unfortunately, a review was posted before contacting us to clarify what happened. We value our guests and are always available to resolve any issues directly. We regret the confusion and remain open to discussing the situation further.

life on a horse in Punta Cana
It couldn't have been more fascinating. It was an incredible experience riding a horse in Punta Cana, and although it was a little rainy that day, that didn't stop us from doing the activity. It's worth adding that the guide was sensational.

It's great to hear that even the rain couldn't stop the fun and that you were able to fully enjoy the activity. We'll pass on your kind words to your guide; they'll be thrilled to know they did such a fantastic job! We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future.

the best punta cana backpack
I went to Punta Cana with my family and we chose this activity: horseback riding. At first, we weren't sure if it was a good idea because we have a 7-year-old girl. We were worried, but once we arrived at the ranch, the guides gave us instructions and everything went perfectly.
Response from the operator: Hello! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your family trip to Punta Cana and that the horseback riding experience was a success. I completely understand the initial concern, especially when traveling with young children. It's wonderful to hear that the ranch guides were so attentive and that the instructions they gave made everyone feel safe, even your 7-year-old daughter! I really appreciate you sharing your positive experience, as it may help other families considering a similar activity. I hope you have the opportunity to create more unforgettable memories together in the future!❤️🫶🏻

I visited Punta Cana in July and booked a horseback riding tour — and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip! The guides were friendly and professional, and they made sure everyone felt comfortable, even first-time riders like me. The horses were well cared for, and I was paired with a calm one named Canela. The route took us through beautiful countryside and palm-filled trails, with a brief ride along the beach — absolutely breathtaking. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. The staff even offered fresh coconut water and helped take great photos. My kids loved it too, and it was a unique way to experience the Dominican Republic beyond the resort. If you’re in Punta Cana and looking for something authentic and fun for all levels, I definitely recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: What an excellent review! I'm so glad you had such a memorable experience. How lovely that you took home such special memories from Punta Cana! These authentic adventures are what truly enrich a trip. ❤️❤️💗❤️❤️❤️💗

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Horseback Riding on the Beaches Fields and Forests of Punta Cana: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Horseback Riding on the Beaches Fields and Forests of Punta Cana cost?
+
Prices start at $54 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Horseback Riding on the Beaches Fields and Forests of Punta Cana take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Horseback Riding on the Beaches Fields and Forests of Punta Cana worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Horseback Riding on the Beaches Fields and Forests of Punta Cana?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Horseback Riding on the Beaches Fields and Forests of Punta Cana suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Horseback Riding on the Beaches Fields and Forests of Punta Cana?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Horseback Riding on the Beaches Fields and Forests of Punta Cana start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
