    Good experience

The pickup from the hotel was prompt! Arrived at the ranch in early morning. We were able to ride the horses for about 20 minutes. We felt like we were going to be on the horses for much longer for the price we paid. All of the staff were kind and helped us take pictures on the horses. The tour guide with us charged extra money to do the cultural tour- head into the city, visit Macao beach, eat authentic food. We learned that the other people apart of bus ride paid a less amount, which we were not happy about. The owner of this excursion provided us a refund for extra money we paid on the trip.

Horses have probably seen better days. Avoid.

The horses had seen better days. They did not look healthy and we're not groomed or cleaned. Felt very uneasy whilst riding them. I don't normally ride or visit animal sanctuary or zoo for that reason. The photos in the hotel were totally different. Avoid. Most of my family did not ride them and felt the same.

Response from the operator: I’m sorry you feel that way, we have over 60 horses, they never work 2 days in a row. We spend a lot of time making sure the horses are well fed , we keep up with our horses health and well being, I can send you all medical and immunization records if you like. We also retire our horses after a certain time. We love our animals we certainly don’t abuse them. Perhaps I can interest you on a discount at future date? I will Personally manage the tour. I am surprise for this is the first time getting this type of feed back , I will definitely get on my employees and find out why the horses where not groomed. We are not above issuing refunds either. Please let me know how we can make this right.

    Horses & Great Memories

I had such a wonderful time during the horseback riding excursion! I visited on December 25, 2024. As someone who loves animals, being around the horses was an absolute joy. Whether it’s horses, cows, dogs—spending time with animals is always a highlight for me. The horses were nice, even though the one I was riding was a bit stubborn at times. It made for some humorous moments, and the guides were very helpful in ensuring everything went smoothly, especially since it was raining prior and it was extremely muddy during the ride. I had initially hoped to have a little more freedom to roam on my own with my horse, but I think the rain and muddy mess may have been the reason we stuck to a guided route. Despite that, I still had a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with these beautiful animals. One thing I appreciated was that the horses seemed well cared for, healthy, and not mistreated in any way, which is so important to me. Knowing that they were treated kindly made the experience even better.

Horseback Riding with Pickup from Punta Cana: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Horseback Riding with Pickup from Punta Cana cost?

    +

Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Horseback Riding with Pickup from Punta Cana take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Horseback Riding with Pickup from Punta Cana worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Horseback Riding with Pickup from Punta Cana?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Horseback Riding with Pickup from Punta Cana suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Horseback Riding with Pickup from Punta Cana?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Horseback Riding with Pickup from Punta Cana start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
