    Relaxing

I enjoyed this horseback ride. Very beautiful along the entire beach. The service was very kind to all of us.

    Prepare for a long day

We booked a 10:30 am horseback riding ON the beach. The tour company picked us up at 11:20 am. We arrived at the tour company at 11:30. We finally got on horses at 1217. We did NOT go on the beach. Then when we returned from the tour at 2:30pm we waited until after 3pm for transportation back to our hotel. A 2 hour excursion turned into a full day! Scam

Worst Viator experience ever. The excursion was supposed to start at 10:30 AM. We were not picked up until 1050 at which point we made five additional stops and we’re in a vehicle for over an hour before we got on a cattle bus and we finally arrived at the excursion at 11:50 nearly an hour and a half after the excursion was supposed to start.. the fender was completely unapologetic about starting the excursion almost an hour and a half later and we were held hostage without a ride back to our accommodations after declining to proceed on an excursion that should’ve started over an hour and a half before we arrived.

Fun horse ride but not as scenic as we had hoped

I loved that they let you run with the horses so we could trot or canter a good amount of the time. They were careful to look out for my younger son and always made sure his horse didn’t get in front or out of control. I knocked off one star as the posting promises you ride on the beach and I even used the chat feature to be sure this would be the case before the tour, but after over an hour of riding it seemed like they were taking us back and we had only been on side streets and trails. I asked them about the beach and they seemed surprised. They decided to let us go see it but we had to dismount the horses and could only walk on the beach, not ride. If I had t asked, they would have skipped it entirely. The staff was very responsive to our requests though which we appreciated.

    Just ok

Our experience was just ok. 1. We didn’t go on beach with the horses as pictured. 2. We didn’t receive a tutorial/safety briefing. My daughter had an incident that may have been avoidable had we been briefed. I just suggest if you don’t know horses, ask for a tutorial. Otherwise, super relaxing!

Horseback Riding on the Beaches of Punta Cana: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Horseback Riding on the Beaches of Punta Cana cost?

    +

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Horseback Riding on the Beaches of Punta Cana take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Horseback Riding on the Beaches of Punta Cana worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Horseback Riding on the Beaches of Punta Cana?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Horseback Riding on the Beaches of Punta Cana suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Horseback Riding on the Beaches of Punta Cana?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Horseback Riding on the Beaches of Punta Cana start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Off Road Buggy Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
