Great experience!
I booked directly with Muhammad because I wanted to ride during sunset and asked for the best time. I also wanted the photos. We exchanged about 10 emails. He was very responsive to all requests for information. We had a driver, but he had to ask for directions to the stable as the signs were a bit inadequate. We arrived and we were matched with the appropriate horses depending on our riding ability. I’ve only been on a horse once before so Muhammad ensured I had an assistant with me. My partner had ridden before so she didn’t need any help. We rode for a little over an hour on the beach and rode back and forth a couple of times. Muhammad took some great photos and videos. He’s very professional! We had a wonderful time and really appreciated his knowledge, kindness and passion for ensuring we were happy. I would definitely recommend this experience! Thank you.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your honest feedback. So kind of you to choose us.

Not Worth the Price for Experienced Riders
I was really looking forward to this experience as the photos look absolutely amazing and the activity is advertised as a sunset horseback ride on a beautiful beach. The organization on-site was great and the staff were genuinely kind, helpful, and very attentive, which I appreciated a lot. However, I left feeling very disappointed. The horses only walked and wouldn’t even trot, so if you have any riding experience, I wouldn’t recommend going in with high expectations. We didn’t actually go for a real ride either – we simply went back and forth over the same short stretch of beach rather than taking a proper route. Additionally, the activity was supposed to be at sunset, but our session ran from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, and the sun actually sets around 5:30 PM. So we missed the sunset entirely, which was a big part of the appeal for me. Considering the price, I expected more. The promotional photos show horses galloping at sunset on an empty beach, and unfortunately the reality didn’t match that at all. While the staff were lovely and the logistics were well handled, the experience itself did not meet expectations, especially for experienced riders or anyone hoping for what is shown in the advertising images.

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Horse riding on muscat beach: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Muscat.
How much does Horse riding on muscat beach cost?
+
Prices start at $72 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Muscat usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Horse riding on muscat beach take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Muscat is not rushed.
Is Horse riding on muscat beach worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Muscat, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Horse riding on muscat beach?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Horse riding on muscat beach suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Horse riding on muscat beach?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Muscat can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Muscat and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Horse riding on muscat beach start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Muscat within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Muscat?
+
On Outty we rank every Muscat experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole Group Full Day Tour, Wadi Shab and Bimmah Sinkhole Full Day Tour, Daymaniat Islands Guided Snorkeling Adventure from Muscat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Muscat?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Muscat?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
