A truly magical ride
Had a lovely ride through the forest, in the snow! Sara, our ride leader, was so lovely! My horse, Sarakka, was beautiful and so calm - a pleasure to ride. She is a sweetheart! The trails through the forest were magical. We were able to spend time with the horses afterwards, and take photos. The girls working there were very friendly. Highlight of my trip. Would love to go back! Kiitos! 😊
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so happy to hear that the snowy forest ride felt magical and that you enjoyed your time with Sara and sweet Sarakka. She really is a wonderful horse. It is great to hear that you also enjoyed spending time with the horses after the ride and meeting our team. Knowing it was the highlight of your trip truly means a lot to us. We would love to welcome you back for another ride in the future. Kind regards, Team Ranch Kuulas

magical unforgettable ride
The horse ride was magical! Before the ride, I was checked to make sure my clothing and shoes were warm enough and provided with a lap blanket. We went through a sunlit snowy tree-lined road and up the hill path got more beautiful with every step. My horse followed the guide and was steady and knew what to do. It was so peaceful being on the horse, listening to her hooves on the snow, and looking at the incredible scenery close and far. My guide Anse checked in on me regularly and also was so nice to take pictures. We kept saying how dreamlike it was! I had the transfer option and the ride to and from Rovaniemi was also beautiful. Thank you Kuula Ranch for one of the best experiences ever.

Great horse ride in the snow
The guide was amazing. The horses were great and the scenery was breathtakingly beautiful. The ranch is really nicely coming along and I think we were just a week before the restaurant and everything opened up but the place looked good. The only thing I would advise to keep out for low hanging branches. Would recommend this activity and provider, we had no issues.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your snowy horse ride and that our guide and horses made the experience even more special. It's great to know you appreciated the stunning scenery and noticed the progress at the ranch. We're indeed excited about the new additions opening soon! We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to welcome you back again! Kind regards, Team Ranch Kuulas

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Horse ride to the snowy hill: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.
How much does Horse ride to the snowy hill cost?
+
Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Horse ride to the snowy hill take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.
Is Horse ride to the snowy hill worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Horse ride to the snowy hill?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Horse ride to the snowy hill suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Horse ride to the snowy hill?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Horse ride to the snowy hill start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?
+
On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
