Must do family activity
This was so fun. We were all glad we went. Our family is comprised of grandparents, parents, and teens. We tend to be more reserved, and by halfway through we were all up dancing, laughing, and participating. The crew has such a good time it’s hard not to join in. Definitely a highlight of the trip for us.
Response from the operator: We are happy to know that you had a great day with your family, full of joy. In the same way that the staff team was part of the experience

Awesome
Apart from the booking company Not giving us adequate time or information on the departure point and time…. Once we did get to Punta Sam, out of pocket as we were supposed to get there via colectivo and ended up having to use a taxi both ways!!!!And I lost over $60 Canadian on the ADO I had booked to get back to Playa del Carmen after the show!!! (This was not the Jolly Roger’s fault, but the booking company, but do check before the day to make sure the location and time doesn’t change as it did for us) This was a lot of fun. Great food and show and crew. We had a blast thank you. It far exceeded our expectations. The lobster really was top notch.
Response from the operator: We appreciate your opinion. Taking into account the information you provide and responding to it. The reservation details specify that the activity does not include transportation, and that it is sent 1 day before in case there are changes, so the information was sent in such a way to anticipate travelers about the place and time. However, we will make this point clearer so that there are no misunderstandings.

Wow! What an experience!
We wanted a dinner/show/sail cruise while in Cancun. $130 seemed a little high but we gave it a try. Very much well worth the money. When boarding the giant pirate ship a full rock band played and entertained the crowd as we boarded. Soon a cast of 20 pirates took over to interact with the crowd and present a 3 hours show of singing, dancing, and sword fighting as the Pirate Capt searched for his lost gold. Even to include one pirate actually walking the plank into the actual nighttime sea and another diving overboard to retrieve the Captains gold! Both somehow got back onboard and continued the show. The dinner was excellent, ours was steak and lobster. As we pulled back into the harbor after 3 1/2 hours of entertainment and food the rock band kept everyone dancing. This company’s attention to detail was amazing. Great experience! Well worth the cost. A memory you will never forget
Response from the operator: thank you for leaving us your comment and letting us know that you had a great experience, that the team was part of this, we hope to be able to support you again in your future experiences

This is a really great experience!! The performance was very entertaining and the cast and crew were very hospitable. We decided to upgrade our food package at the last minute to the surf and turf. Well worth the upgrade and very tasty!! I highly recommend this attraction to everyone of all ages. It is extremely kid and family friendly!!
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us, we are glad to know that you enjoyed the show and the food. We hope to help you again

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hook boat in Cancun: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Hook boat in Cancun cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hook boat in Cancun take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Hook boat in Cancun worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hook boat in Cancun?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hook boat in Cancun suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hook boat in Cancun?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hook boat in Cancun start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
