    Great!

The crew on the boat was very nice and the tour was well organized. At the first snorkelling stop, I got stung by a jellyfish, but the crew had first aid! I was ok within the hour and could continue snorkelling at other locations. The food was excellent. Q and his friend were very sweet. They accompanied us for kayaking and took fun videos of us.

Disappointing and dishonest experience – avoid Trip Store Krabi - Hong Island in Longtail Boat

I specifically booked a tour with a longtail boat to enjoy a more authentic and peaceful experience. However, at the very last minute, we were told the longtail boat was “broken” and that we had no choice but to go by speedboat instead. This seems to be a common trick used by smaller agencies in Krabi – they pretend the boat is broken just to switch to a speedboat and cram in more people for higher profit. The whole experience felt rushed, crowded, and completely different from what we had chosen and paid for. At the end of the trip, I raised a complaint and requested a partial refund due to the change and overall disappointment, but the staff refused to take any responsibility or offer compensation. I would not recommend booking with Trip Store Krabi – they are not transparent, and you may not get what you paid for.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that the change from a longtail boat to a speedboat was due to an unforeseen mechanical issue that made the original vessel unavailable on the day of your trip. In order to avoid cancelling the tour entirely, we offered a free upgrade to a speedboat — which is faster, safer, and more expensive to operate — so that all guests could still enjoy the day as planned. We understand that the traditional longtail boat was part of the experience you were looking forward to, and we sincerely apologize for not being able to inform you earlier. However, we made this decision in good faith to ensure the tour could proceed smoothly without disruption. As this was an upgrade provided at no additional cost — and not a service downgrade — we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds in such cases. Our policy does not support compensation for free upgrades made in the interest of maintaining the tour’s schedule and quality. That said, we appreciate your recognition of the team’s effort, and we are always striving to improve our communication and service.

Average tour but kayaking must do

It was good enough, but if not for the kayaking I probably wouldn’t recommend. Amazing views but tight schedule. The guide that led the kayaking however, went the extra mile. He was so sweet and knowledgeable and really tried to make sure everyone had the best experience.

    Wonderful excursion with great guides

Highly enjoyable trip. Beautiful scenery. Sufficient time given for all the stops. Lunch was simple but nice. The guided sea kayaking was a great experience. We were upgraded to a speedboat which was in superb condition and added to the enjoyment of the day. Guides were well organised, knowledgeable and super friendly.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad you enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the kayaking, even though it gave your arms a workout. It's great to hear that the 800-step hike to the 360° summit was worth it, offering such incredible views. We appreciate your feedback and hope you have many more memorable adventures ahead! 🌅🚣‍♂️

Hong Islands Longtail Boat Tour with Kayak Paddling: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krabi.

How much does Hong Islands Longtail Boat Tour with Kayak Paddling cost?

    +

Prices start at $1682 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krabi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hong Islands Longtail Boat Tour with Kayak Paddling take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krabi is not rushed.

Is Hong Islands Longtail Boat Tour with Kayak Paddling worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 59 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krabi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hong Islands Longtail Boat Tour with Kayak Paddling?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hong Islands Longtail Boat Tour with Kayak Paddling suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hong Islands Longtail Boat Tour with Kayak Paddling?

    +

Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krabi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krabi and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hong Islands Longtail Boat Tour with Kayak Paddling start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krabi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krabi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krabi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Phi Phi Islands Tour with Lunch from Krabi, Phi Phi Early Bird & 4 Islands - Day Tour by Speedboat From Krabi, Railay and 4-Island Sunset Speedboat Cruise with Night Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krabi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krabi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
