What you'll see and do
Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot)
During a short hike through the forest, you have the opportunity to explore an intact ecosystem. Sure you will be impressed by the unique ambience of the rainforest. The Emerald Pool or also called ‘Sa Morakot’ is a unique natural pond with a visually limpid blue color and wonderfully warm waters, making it a stunning spot for swimming in. An abundance of minerals from the surrounding limestone hills gives the pool its jade tone. Nearby the Emerald Pool you'll find the Blue Lagoon, a beautiful pool with deep aquamarine-blue water. But don’t be tempted to take a dip in the lovely looking blue water, because unlike in the Emerald Pool you can’t swim here at all! The bottom consists of quicksand and the water temperature varies between 30 and 50 degrees Celcius. After visit to the Emerald Pool and Blue Lagoon we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant (approx. 1 hour - lunch is for own expenses). National Park fee THB 400 per person is not included and has to be paid cash.

Namtok Ron (Hot Spring Waterfall ) - Khlong Thom
Namtok Ron is located in a shady green forest area with numerous hot springs. The hot springs and cool streams converge on a slope to form lovely cascades of warm water. The water comes from volcanic chambers deep underground. Therefore the water always has a beneficial temperature of 35 to 42 degrees Celsius! You can relax in one of the many natural hollows in the creek and watch the water gently cascade into the cool pools. Hot Springs fee THB 200 per person is not included and has to be paid cash.

Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea)
Set in a beautiful forest, Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple) is one of the highlights in Krabi, for in addition to being a place of worship it is a famous meditation centre, and acts as a retreat for Buddhist monks and nuns from all over the world. You need to climb 1260 stairs to the top, with some of the stair risers being more than 30 cm high, so a degree of physical fitness is required to visit the temple. Once you make it to the top, you are rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding countryside with all the limestone cliffs and beautiful lush rain forest. The view is gorgeous enough to take away what remains of your breath!

Emerald Pool — A Must-Visit Spot in Krabi!
We did our visit by ourselves, we didn't use any operator, we traveled with our own car. Emerald Pool is a gorgeous natural swimming hole and well worth a visit when you're in Krabi. The water isn't very deep, so most adults can comfortably stand with their feet on the bottom. To get there, it’s about a 1.1 km walk through the forest from the main entrance. The trail is paved and well-maintained, making for an easy, pleasant stroll. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a fantastic place to cool off in nature. I highly recommend stopping by if you're traveling through Krabi! If you liked my review, give me a like 👍🏻

Very beautifull trip
Tukky is a very nice guide. She answered all our questions without hesitation. We took this trip in the rainy season, so there weren't a lot of people. We enjoyed the hot springs, these where 38° and very beautifull. The emerald pool is also really nice to swim. The blue pool is beatifull ( your not allowed to swim). Afterwards we went to tigertemple wich was impressive. The stairs are 1260 steps and my t-shirt was soaking wet with sweat... Beware of the monkeys at the top, don't wear a backpack or wear it on your belly. They will snatch it and you loose everything.

Discover Krabi - Emerald Pool, Hot Springs & Tiger Cave Temple: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krabi.
How much does Discover Krabi - Emerald Pool, Hot Springs & Tiger Cave Temple cost?
+
Prices start at $36 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krabi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Discover Krabi - Emerald Pool, Hot Springs & Tiger Cave Temple take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krabi is not rushed.
Is Discover Krabi - Emerald Pool, Hot Springs & Tiger Cave Temple worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 91 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 317 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Krabi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Discover Krabi - Emerald Pool, Hot Springs & Tiger Cave Temple?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Discover Krabi - Emerald Pool, Hot Springs & Tiger Cave Temple suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Discover Krabi - Emerald Pool, Hot Springs & Tiger Cave Temple?
+
Around 111 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krabi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krabi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Discover Krabi - Emerald Pool, Hot Springs & Tiger Cave Temple start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krabi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krabi?
+
On Outty we rank every Krabi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Phi Phi Islands Tour with Lunch from Krabi, Phi Phi Early Bird & 4 Islands - Day Tour by Speedboat From Krabi, Railay and 4-Island Sunset Speedboat Cruise with Night Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krabi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krabi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
