HOH and Ruby Beach tour
The HOH and Ruby Beach tour was breathtakingly incredible! It's hard to describe how beautiful the sights were! Our tour guide made the experience all the more amazing! She was energetic, upbeat, and very friendly. She moved the tour along at a good pace, but with stops for pictures, conversation, and questions at all the right spots. There was flexibility to make sure everyone on the tour was able to see all they had hoped and come for. She was very knowledgeable about each area we visited and traveled through. Her restaurant recommendation was our favorite place we ate at during our entire trip! We were traveling with children ages 10, 12, & 17 and they had no trouble keeping up with the pace and they greatly enjoyed the entire experience!

Hoh Rainforest and Ruby Beach
Beautiful areas!! Hoh Rainforest did not disappoint and the Ruby Beach was mesmerizing with its tossed giant driftwood on the beach. Our group spotted sea otters and a bald eagle. Roni, our guide, made it great sharing her expertise and love of the area and its natural beauty.

Best way to see Hoh et al from Port Angeles
We did the Hoh rain forest tour and Ruby beach tour on 8/6/26. The road to Rialto beach was closed so Ruby beach was the substitute. We met at OHC's office at 7:15 am and left for Hoh at 7:30 am. There were 13 people on the tour plus Nancy the guide (it was full). The ride to Hoh was about 2.5 hrs. Nancy provided color commentary as she drove to Hoh. When we got to Hoh, there was already a 2.5 hr back up to get in. Luckily, OHC sends an empty van to get there by 8 am. That van parks in a pulloff after the entry station and the driver waits for the 7:30 am van to arrive and you switch vans. It was a .75 to 1 mi. walk from one van to the other but it allowed us to get to the Hoh VC and hikes around 11 am, hours before we would have otherwise gotten in. Nancy did a great job explaining what we were seeing on the hall of moss trail and then we hiked the Spruce trail. In total both trails were about 2.3 mi.with some up hill, some rolling flat areas and a little mud to avoid. Coupled with the hike between vans it was about 3.3 mi.total. We then drove to Kalaloch for snacks and a break and then to Ruby Beach where we spent an hour on the beach. There is a short .25 mi. walk down to the beach and then you roam as you will. We ended up walking about a mile at Ruby. The drive back to Port Angeles took about 2.5 hours with no stops. Given the back up to get into Hoh, if you are in Port Angeles and want to see Hoh, taking the tour is the best option. We enjoyed the tour and would recommend it. Well worth the money.

Do this!!!
This seems like a hidden gem in Port Angeles. These are professional experienced well trained, and friendly folks. Trevor gave us a great introduction andNancy was an exceptional tour guide, driver, and naturalist. She could field any question we asked whether it was having to do with moss, trees, forest management, twilight fans, flowers, cost of living in the area, and the differences between all the parkland. She has a special love of banana slugs too!!. And still managed to get us leaving and arriving at the times they designated. Special accommodation was made because Rialto Beach was closed so we drove further to Ruby Beach. We wish Nancy all the best!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Port Angeles.
How much does Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach Guided Tour in Olympic National Park cost?
+
Prices start at $195 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Port Angeles usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach Guided Tour in Olympic National Park take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Port Angeles is not rushed.
Is Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach Guided Tour in Olympic National Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 168 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Port Angeles, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach Guided Tour in Olympic National Park?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach Guided Tour in Olympic National Park suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach Guided Tour in Olympic National Park?
+
Around 59 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Port Angeles can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Port Angeles and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach Guided Tour in Olympic National Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Port Angeles within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Port Angeles by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. When is the best time to visit Port Angeles?
+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Port Angeles?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
