Hiking profitis llias with Trekking Hellas Rhodes

I enjoyed my half day hike to profitis llias. It’ the better time you to go hiking because it not too hot to hike. It’s very green but very rocky terrain. It’s one of the easiest trails to do if you don’t do much hiking. The two guides Tsimkas and George were very acknowledgeable guides. Very easy to get on with. The speak good English. It’s worth going.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We're so glad you enjoyed the hike to Profitis Ilias. It’s great to hear that the timing was perfect for a comfortable hike, and that you found the trail manageable. Tsampikos and George will be happy to know you appreciated their knowledge and friendly approach. We’re happy you had a great experience, and we hope to welcome you on another adventure soon! Best regards, Fanny

    Great hiking experience

Very nice hike to the mountain of Profitis Elias. At the beginning, we go up the slope. The climb is the most strenuous part of the hike. Once at the top there is a great view and a small snack break. Up on the plateau you walk past former houses of Italian occupiers, Mussolini's Villa and you visit a historic hotel which is still in use. Along the way you will also encounter many goats. A final stop is made at a small chapel from which you have a great view of the sea and the countryside. The food was really delicious. The tour guide was very nice and provided entertainment. The hike in general is relatively easy. Hiking boots are recommended.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your great feedback!! Profitis Ilias is such a great hike as it combines so many things as you mention - nature, hiking, history, food...It is best to have good shoes but many people also join with trainers and have no problem with the terrain. You just need to be prepared for the first 45 minutes or so but the frequent breaks and the views more than make up for the climb!! Greetings from everyone here at Trekking Hellas Rhodes and especially from Panos your hiking guide for the day!

    A must see experience!!

Tsampikos and Manolis were great guides as we hiked to see the beautiful and magnificent sunset. With a lot of historical nuggets and traditional food (Even got to taste local homemade pie and wine) it was noe of the highlights of our trip.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much! The mountain of Profitis Ilias has a lot of interesting history that we think our guests have to know in order to experience the importance of this location. Tsampikos and Manolis thank you for your kind words!

Hiking Profitis Ilias Mountain: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rhodes.

How much does Hiking Profitis Ilias Mountain cost?

    +

Prices start at $59 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rhodes usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hiking Profitis Ilias Mountain take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rhodes is not rushed.

Is Hiking Profitis Ilias Mountain worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rhodes, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hiking Profitis Ilias Mountain?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hiking Profitis Ilias Mountain suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hiking Profitis Ilias Mountain?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rhodes can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rhodes and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hiking Profitis Ilias Mountain start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rhodes within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rhodes?

    +

On Outty we rank every Rhodes experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Makarounas Fishing Boat Trip with swimming stop and BBQ on board, Rhodes Exclusive Swim Cruise Cocktail Open bar & Gourmet Buffet, Athens cruise: Agistri, Moni/Metopi, Aegina with lunch & drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rhodes?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rhodes?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
