    Another Great Tour

My 4th tour with this company and i could not be happier with my experiences! They waited 15 minutes for me as my Uber was late arriving, then also waited for me when I had to stop and rest as that hike was kicking my butt! Always a great experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much! We're so happy we were able to take you out again. You are being too hard on yourself, you did fantastic on the hiking tour. Always great to catch up with you when you are out here, see you next year and all the best until then!

Great half-day hike with a naturalist?

Such a wonderful adventure. Our naturalist, Will, was extremely knowledgable about the flora and fauna. We tasted things along the way (turns out I love juniper berries, even though I don't like gin) and learned about knickiknack, trees, geologoy, you name it. No animal sightings, but I imagine that could be possible. From departure to arrival back in Denver, everything worked like clockwork on this trip. It was a small group and we were able to explore an area of the foothills I'd never been and capped off the hike with a beer in an restaurant steeped in Colarado history.

    Hike the Rockies

Wonderful experience! Went on a day trip with my husband and had a great time. Gorgeous trail, about four miles. Our guide Will was so kind/ informative. We all learned so much. We did everything from discovering animal tracks to picking wild raspberries. Can’t wait to do it again.

Response from the operator: Thank you for joining one of our newest tours. We are really excited to offer a hiking tour to highlight the beauty of the mountains. Thank you for choosing to tour with us and for taking the time to leave a review, it means a lot.

    Wonderful hike with a Naturalist!

I would definitely give this experience 5 stars! The excursion was seamless from pick-up to drop-off and I appreciated the thoughtful amenities that were provided (water, snacks, etc). If you're visiting CO, this is a terrific way to learn about the natural terrain and vegetation. From a visual perspective, you'll be surrounded by unique beauty (bring your camera). Our naturalist was a pro. We even got to sample wild raspberries, bear berries and juniper berries on the hike. Give it a try!

Hike the Rockies Half Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Denver.

How much does Hike the Rockies Half Day Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Denver usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hike the Rockies Half Day Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Denver is not rushed.

Is Hike the Rockies Half Day Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Denver, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hike the Rockies Half Day Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hike the Rockies Half Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hike the Rockies Half Day Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Denver can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Denver and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hike the Rockies Half Day Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Denver within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Denver?

    +

Denver is a launch pad. Rocky Mountain National Park, Pikes Peak, Red Rocks and the Georgetown rail loop all run as day trips, and altitude makes the timing of your first hike matter. In town: brewery crawls, Union Station food walks and Red Rocks show nights. We rank mountain operators on van size, pace and whether they build in altitude acclimatisation. On Outty we rank every Denver experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Downtown Denver Food Tour, Twilight Ghost Tour, Small Group Tour of Pikes Peak and the Garden of the Gods from Denver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Denver?

    +

June to September for open mountain passes, or December to March for ski shuttles. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Denver?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
