    Unique, fun experience

So much fun! The ranch was so beautiful with their fruit trees and animals. The 2 family dogs joined us for our hike. I thought we were going to be hiking on dirt roads, but it was climbing up and down huge boulders. So awesome and beautiful! It was so nice that just our family went to enjoy it together! Such a unique experience! Max is an awesome guide and even cut me some aloe to take home for my jellyfish stings I had gotten a couple days prior. The fish tacos made by the owners were amazing.

Much more than a hike, it's an adventure full of beautiful experiences.

Max is very knowledgeable about the area, passionate about the outdoors, and helped us stay within our limits while exploring rugged beauty and learn about local culture. I can't decide what was my favourite part... the views, swimming, the delicious lunch, or the super friendly dogs we met. ❤️ We will definitely be doing a trip with him next year. Thanks Max!

Choose Max as your guide for any adventure in Los Cabos!

We had a wonderful journey to the Biosphere with Max our guide and driver. He is absolutely amazing. Our friends wanted coffee and were hungry when he picked us up, so he stopped at a great local tienda where they got delicious coffee and burritos along the way. Max was very informative and knew the area very well. He would stop and point out places of interest and photo opportunities. Once at the biosphere and rancho, our hiking began with several lovely hikes through the hills and into the gorges for a swim in the beautiful waters. The boulders were amazing and the water was very refreshing. He led us through the water on a hike to see the waterfalls and then another hike to the hills with beautiful views of the big waterfall. We were very fortunate to have lunch at the family home, which was delicious and bountiful. Before leaving we were invited to take some of the grapefruit from the grove home with us. Max did the honors and got us several of them directly from the high branches of the tree. On the way home, Max treated us to some amazing ice cream at the Tropic of Cancer, so many delicious flavors it was difficult to choose. If you ever want a great, personable and very knowledgeable guide, Max is the guy for you.

    Such an amazing trip!

Max is a fantastic tour guide! Very knowledgeable about the history and ecology of the area. He was able to point out every potential misstep on the trail. The views are beautiful, fauna are interesting, the secluded pools are gorgeous, the family ranch is charming and the lunch provided was delicious. The entire trip was hassle free from pickup till drop off.

    Great memories…

We had an amazing day with Max who lead us on a couple hikes to water holes. We swam and learned about the local ranches. We also had an authentic Mexican Ranch lunch that was delicious. So many great memories!

Hike the Natural Reserve & Eat at a Local´s Family Farm: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Cabos.

How much does Hike the Natural Reserve & Eat at a Local´s Family Farm cost?

    +

Prices start at $185 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Cabos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hike the Natural Reserve & Eat at a Local´s Family Farm take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Cabos is not rushed.

Is Hike the Natural Reserve & Eat at a Local´s Family Farm worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Cabos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hike the Natural Reserve & Eat at a Local´s Family Farm?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hike the Natural Reserve & Eat at a Local´s Family Farm suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hike the Natural Reserve & Eat at a Local´s Family Farm?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Cabos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Cabos and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hike the Natural Reserve & Eat at a Local´s Family Farm start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Cabos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Los Cabos?

    +

On Outty we rank every Los Cabos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch, Ziplining and UTV Desert Adventure from Los Cabos, Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Los Cabos?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Los Cabos?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
