Excelent and plesent experience with Taj Samudra hotel in CMB

A Moment of True Hospitality – Thank You Indunil Shantha & Team at Taj, CMB, Sri Lanka. Last weekend, after a long and meaningful special event, a friend and I arrived at Taj Samudra Colombo for a very late lunch, just after 3:30 PM. We were extremely hungry, but we fully understood that the buffet service was ending, the day had been long, and the team had already given their energy to many guests. No new buffet guests were being accommodated, and it was clear the staff were understandably very tired. What happened next is something I will genuinely remember and remarkable. The duty captain, Mr. Indunil Shantha, showed us what true hospitality really means. Despite knowing the kitchen team had reached the end of a very demanding and challenging day, he kindly and gracefully made an exception for us. With a warm smile and sincere care, he allowed us to order à la carte and ensured we were looked after without hesitation, simply because he wanted us to feel welcome and happy. (This time all other restaurants are close for lunch and no ware to for us to go). We were also beautifully taken care of by Oshan, whose service was calm, attentive, and genuinely kind. During a short conversation with him, I was deeply touched to realize how loyal, proud, and emotionally connected the staff are to their organization. It spoke volumes about the culture within Taj Samudra and the values instilled by its leadership. To our surprise and delight, Mr. Indunil Shantha also offered us desserts from the buffet, a small gesture on the surface, but one that carried immense warmth and thoughtfulness at the end of a long day. This experience was not just about food or service, it was about human kindness, leadership, and pride in one’s work. Mr. Indunil Shantha clearly leads by example, motivating his team to serve with heart, even when it would have been easy to say no. I sincerely hope the leadership and management at Taj Samudra recognize individuals like Indunil Shantha and Oshan, as they are true ambassadors of the Taj brand. A heartfelt appreciation as well to the Taj leadership team for building such a loyal, service-driven culture. Big Thank you for turning a late, tiring moment into a deeply memorable experience with beyond our expectation. This is hospitality at its finest. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 BTW: more than same old pleasant experience with TSH

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
