    Amazing day!

An amazing day! A beautiful, relaxed way to experience Sonoma County beyond the usual spots. Redwoods, coastal views, unique and charming shops, a memorable sunset picnic, thoughtful local storytelling throughout, and the opportunity to speak with local artisans, cheese-makers, bread bakers, and wine merchants. So glad I discovered the hidden-gem experience. A don’t miss activity.

Unforgettable Unmissable Perfect Day In Wine Country that’s More than Just wine tasting

Fawn really captured the spirit of what she shared with my girlfriend and I, The perfect day in the Sebastopol, Santa Rosa and Sonoma area. If you want to feel like a local, and get an unforgettable experience with an excellent guide, book with Fawn. My girlfriend says this is now one of her core memories. I agree 100%, it’s the same for me. We have had a long list of great adventures and experiences but only a handful get such high marks as core memories. This was one of them. Don’t miss this one. It’s personal, unique, kind of like going out with a friend who knows the area and has done the work of putting all the pieces together. Ask her the origin story of how she put it all together. You might just be as inspired as I was.

    Fantastic, nice to...

Fantastic, nice to experience all the hidden gems this area has to offer. Enjoyed Fawn's tour and the picnic lunch was delicious, all local foods. The walk among the redwoods was therapeutic and magnificent. Thank you for a Saturday well spent.

Response from the operator: Angela, thank you so much for your kind words! I loved spending the day with you both — I’m thrilled you found the redwoods as magical and restorative as I do. 🌲

    Gems of Sonoma

Our experience with Fawn was absolutely magical! From start to finish, she was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and attentive to every little detail that made the day so special. We had an amazing time visiting a local cheesemaker and then sampling the most delicious artisan bread—such a treat! Or walk amongst the redwoods was special too. The scenic drive to the coast was stunning, and the beachside picnic that Fawn curated was simply unforgettable. Every bite, every view, and every moment felt beautifully planned and yet so relaxed and natural. We wrapped up the day with great conversation and wine at a lovely local winery, and it was the perfect ending. Fawn has such a gift for creating connection and making you feel like you're spending the day with an old friend. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip, and we can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you, Fawn, for sharing the heart of Sonoma with us!

Response from the operator: Thank you, Ishan! I’m so touched by your words — it was truly a joy to spend the day with you and Amee. I’m delighted you felt the magic of Sonoma’s hidden gems.

    We Made A New Friend

My husband and I had a truly wonderful experience touring the hidden gems of Sonoma County with Fawn. From the moment we met her, she made us feel completely at ease — warm, genuine, and incredibly intuitive to what we needed. What we loved most was how she tailored the itinerary on the fly based on our interests, which made the day feel relaxed, personal, and far from cookie-cutter. Every stop reflected her deep knowledge and love for the area. The only downside for us was the visit to De Loach Winery at the end — it didn’t quite match the quality and vibe of the rest of the tour. But honestly, that’s a small note in what was otherwise a beautiful day. By the end of the tour, we both felt like we hadn’t just seen Sonoma, but connected with someone who really gets people. We left not just with memories — but with a new friend. Highly recommend touring with Fawn if you want the real, soulful side of wine country.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Nandita! I loved spending the day with you both. I’m glad the hidden gems spoke to you, and I appreciate your note about DeLoach — it was an off day there, though most visits are a highlight for guests. I’m so glad the rest of the adventure felt relaxed and personal, and that we left as friends. 💛

Hidden Sonoma County: Redwoods, Cheese, Coast, and Artisan Picnic: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santa Rosa.

How much does Hidden Sonoma County: Redwoods, Cheese, Coast, and Artisan Picnic cost?

    +

Prices start at $259 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santa Rosa usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hidden Sonoma County: Redwoods, Cheese, Coast, and Artisan Picnic take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santa Rosa is not rushed.

Is Hidden Sonoma County: Redwoods, Cheese, Coast, and Artisan Picnic worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santa Rosa, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hidden Sonoma County: Redwoods, Cheese, Coast, and Artisan Picnic?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hidden Sonoma County: Redwoods, Cheese, Coast, and Artisan Picnic suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hidden Sonoma County: Redwoods, Cheese, Coast, and Artisan Picnic?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santa Rosa can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santa Rosa and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hidden Sonoma County: Redwoods, Cheese, Coast, and Artisan Picnic start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santa Rosa within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santa Rosa?

    +

Santa Rosa is the practical base for Sonoma County: winery tours through Russian River and Dry Creek, hot air balloon flights over the valley, and redwood trips to Armstrong Grove. On Outty we rank every Santa Rosa experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Russian River Kayak Tour at the Beautiful Sonoma Coast, Best E-Bike Rental! Wine country fun, Sonoma County Join-In Group Wine Tasting Tours. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santa Rosa?

    +

April to June and September to October, with harvest in September. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santa Rosa?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
