Experience Malta differently as we cruise 360 degrees on our Turkish Gulet whilst enjoying stunning and spectacular scenery. We depart from Sliema Ferries at 0930hrs and cruise close to shoreline catching glimpse of various villages and attractions that dot the coastline such as the famous and majestic Dingli Cliffs, and the many beautiful sandy beaches located in this part of Malta. The first swim stop of the cruise is at the unique Fomm il-Rih. Then we cruise to Comino Island and the Blue Lagoon, berth ‘stern to’ and spend time at leisure for swimming. Island which is still untouched in its beauty and nature. On the way back to Sliema Ferries we cruise via Mellieha Bay, St. Pauls Islands, the resort of Qawra, St. Julians and finally Sliema arriving at 18:00hrs.

It was OK
There wasn't enough seating (we had to sit on the floor). When we docked at the Comino Blue Lagoon and walked off the boat, it was somewhat unsafe to walk around on the land due to the very unstable terrain. However, overall, the trip was good; the staff were friendly, and the food was plentiful and of good quality.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the trip overall, found our staff friendly, and appreciated the quality of the food. We’re sorry to hear about the seating situation and your experience at Blue Lagoon. Unfortunately, the terrain there is outside of our control, but we always do our best to guide our guests safely. Your comments on seating have been noted, and we will look into how we can improve this for future trips. We hope to welcome you back on board again soon.

Turbulent and disappointing boating experience.
We were advised to use Hera for our boat trip by our holiday rep, as supposedly they didn't overload the boat with passengers. However, this was not the case as the boat was still overcrowded and it was difficult to find decent / comfortable seats on deck. Despite, having good weather throughout the whole of the trip. The sea water was still very choppy and the whole of the journey was turbulent, which made me feel unsafe and scared. Also, due to how rough the trip was I felt sea sick for the whole day and I did vomit on a couple of occasions, which ruined the trip experience for me. The only good thing about the trip was swimming in the lovely clear waters at the blue lagoon and the audio tape which provided interesting facts about different areas around Malta. I recommend that anyone who wants to visit the blue lagoon should research all the different travel options before booking a trip there, even if this means booking a private tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you felt unwell during the trip. Seasickness can affect some guests more than others, even when conditions are considered safe and calm by maritime standards. We’d like to assure you and future readers that the boat was not over its certified capacity, and we always strictly follow maritime regulations. During peak season, trips are naturally busier, but passenger numbers are carefully controlled for both safety and comfort. We’re glad you still enjoyed the Blue Lagoon and the onboard commentary, and we appreciate your comments as we continue working hard to provide the best possible experience.

Great trip around Malta
We took this cruise as it offered to go all around Malta and not just Blue Lagoon . The team on the boat were great. Food was good. There were definitely enough seats on the boat. I think the ones just to Comino & blue lagoon are always busy during the peak times. We ended up sitting in the sun too much and even factor 50 didn’t protect us, so if I did again we would take SPF tops and hats.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind review and for choosing our full round-Malta cruise. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the itinerary, our crew, and the food on board. It’s also great to know that you found plenty of seating available. We’d be happy to welcome you back anytime for another cruise around Malta.

Fantastic Day Out
This was a trip worth every cent. Maximum of 60 people on the very large Gulet. For 60 euros you get unlimited tea, coffee, soft drinks and beer or wine with lunch which was very nice. The vibe on the boat was great, music playing 60s, 70, 80s and 90s and just at the right volume. Staff were excellent. Our trip was all round the island stopping for swim breaks and 2 hrs at Blue Lagoon on Comino island. I would seriously recommend this trip. 5 star from me. Enjoy
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the cruise, the vibe, and all the little touches we include to make the day special. That particular day happened to be slightly quieter than usual, which made it even more relaxing — though even at full capacity, our spacious gulet is designed for comfort and a great atmosphere. We really hope to welcome you back on board again soon! ☀️⚓

Terrible seating
Terrible time. They don’t have enough seats for the amount of people that they book. Old people had to sit on the floor while young adults laid out and stretched their legs on the seats they claimed. The staff was nice but sad to see they didn’t help the elderly on the boat get seats. Being on the floor for 9 hours was not fun and I wouldn’t recommend this trip to anyone.
Response from the operator: Good morning and thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry that our boat trip did not live up to your expectations, especially for our senior passengers. Please next time I would appreciate if you could ask one of our crew to accommodate a better seat for you. We will look into improving our seating arrangements and staff training to accommodate all passengers especially seniors, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Have a wonderful day.

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hera Round Malta & Comino Blue Lagoon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Valletta.
How much does Hera Round Malta & Comino Blue Lagoon cost?
+
Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Valletta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hera Round Malta & Comino Blue Lagoon take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Valletta is not rushed.
Is Hera Round Malta & Comino Blue Lagoon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 110 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Valletta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hera Round Malta & Comino Blue Lagoon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hera Round Malta & Comino Blue Lagoon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hera Round Malta & Comino Blue Lagoon?
+
Around 39 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Valletta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Valletta and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hera Round Malta & Comino Blue Lagoon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Valletta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Valletta?
+
On Outty we rank every Valletta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Valletta Food Tour, The Original Valletta Walking Tour, Valletta Walking Tour, In a Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Valletta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Valletta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
