About this experience
We will offer you a unique experience from the moment you arrive until the end, because of our detailed oriented personalized customer service. ***A bottle of Champagne can be added upon request*** This guided tour will allow you to appreciate part of this beautiful city from a different perspective, from the buildings, mansions, and constructions, to the variety of wild-ocean life. The boats, cruises, and cargo ships can be seen all at once around the Ft. Lauderdale Port Everglades. If it’s your lucky day, which we know it will be, you can see dolphins, sharks, turtles, rays, manatees and more, while we are flying over the ocean, near the shoreline. You will be amazed at how closed these species can get to you when you are having fun at the beach. In general, flying in a helicopter generates different emotions, from facing your fears, to experiencing a high sense of amaze, gratitude, and happiness. *We offer helicopter tours from 15 min to 1 hour.

Best view!
Looking at photos and realized we never left a review from last summer! 100% the coolest thing we did and one of my top 5 things ever. Our pilot was professional, friendly AND took us to see the sharks. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: It’s never too late for sharing your amazing review. We really appreciate it. Looking forward to having you all back on board this summer. Thank you

Would definitely do again
Absolutely loved it. I’ve been on a couple helicopter rides before but this one was even more cool. They flew us over the city part which was nice on the way down, then once we hit the Miami area, they turned around and headed up over the ocean. Only disappointing thing is because you fly 2 different routes, on the way down to Miami and on the way back up, you don’t get to really experience the same view as the person next to you. For instance, my sister sat on the left so when we were coming up north from Miami, she got the view of the hotels and shallow waters to see stingrays and sharks, and since I was on the right side, I got the view of the ocean where it’s deep so I didn’t get to see any sharks or anything like that. It was still so beautiful though!!
Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing us and enjoying the flying experience!

Fun experience
The pilot and staff were great! Pointed out some sharks and talked about the area. Wish our headsets were working so we could ask questions, didn’t seem to be able to hear us. Worth it for the views!
Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing us!!!

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Helicopter Tour-Miami Iconic Coast and City Views: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fort Lauderdale.
How much does Helicopter Tour-Miami Iconic Coast and City Views cost?
+
Prices start at $245 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fort Lauderdale usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Helicopter Tour-Miami Iconic Coast and City Views take?
+
Plan for about 0.6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fort Lauderdale is not rushed.
Is Helicopter Tour-Miami Iconic Coast and City Views worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 58 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fort Lauderdale, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Helicopter Tour-Miami Iconic Coast and City Views?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Helicopter Tour-Miami Iconic Coast and City Views suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Helicopter Tour-Miami Iconic Coast and City Views?
+
Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fort Lauderdale can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fort Lauderdale and add a light layer if any part of the 0.6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Helicopter Tour-Miami Iconic Coast and City Views start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fort Lauderdale within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fort Lauderdale?
+
Fort Lauderdale sells canal and Millionaire's Row boat cruises, Everglades airboat trips, snorkel and dive charters on the reef, and Miami and Key West day trips. Boat size and reef conditions drive the quality of the water tours. On Outty we rank every Fort Lauderdale experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 1-Hour Interactive Pirate Cruise (arrive 30 minutes early), Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour, Half-day Everglades National Park Tour and 1-Hour Air Boat Ride. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fort Lauderdale?
+
November to April, with warm water year round. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fort Lauderdale?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
