    kelly was very...

kelly was very knowledgeable about the places we visited and she really made the characters come alive

Response from the operator: Thank you for giving Kelly a shout-out! She is my most versatile guide, with so much knowledge. Kelly has been leading tours by land and water for nearly 20 years and I am eternally grateful to her for generously sharing her spirit on tours. The ghosts love her as much as we do, too, which is an added bonus! Thank you for walking with us and supporting Providence's longest running, only RI-owned ghost tour. An Exceptional Blend of History, Humor, and the Paranormal

My wife and I recently took the Haunted Benefit Street Walking Tour with Ghosts of Providence on June 3, 2026, and we thought it was fabulous. The guide, Courtney, who is also the owner and founder of Providence Ghost Tours, is not only an excellent, smart, and articulate storyteller, but also brings a wonderful blend of history, humor, and a clear passion for what she does. She also weaves in her own personal experiences, which adds a unique and engaging layer to the storytelling. That combination really elevates the entire experience. Having taken several other tours—including ghost tours in other cities—this is, without question, the best and most well-done tour we’ve experienced. We would highly recommend it. We’ve also taken the original haunted tour with Courtney, and this new addition is an excellent expansion of an already outstanding portfolio. I would recommend this tour for everyone from skeptics to paranormal believers. It’s a fun and educational experience, and everyone can walk away entertained and informed about the long and storied history of Benefit Street and Providence.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much! You were such a wonderful duo and I'm so grateful for your loyalty. I deeply care about my guests, guides, and ghosts. The stories we tell matter and I'm so happy that shows through. Again, thank you so very much for your beautiful review and ongoing support. It was lovely to meet you! Response from the operator: Oh my goodness, thank you so much! I had a great time strolling with you. PVD is rich with history and hauntings and it is such a dark delight to share her stories with people like you. Thank you again and Happy Hauntings! In Peace, Courtney Owner/Founder/Lead Guide

    Walk on Benefit Street

Really enjoyed Kelly’s tour. She was extremely knowledgeable and had many side stories to tell us between stops. Loved the fact that she dressed to be in the theme of the tour, as well.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much! Our Benefit Street is our newest route, but it has been so enjoyable to discover these stories. Thank you for walking with Kelly on a wintery night! In Peace, Courtney Owner and Founder Haunted Benefit Street Tour Providence Ghost Tours LLC

Haunted Benefit Street Walking Tour at Ghosts of Providence: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Providence.

How much does Haunted Benefit Street Walking Tour at Ghosts of Providence cost?

    +

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Providence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Haunted Benefit Street Walking Tour at Ghosts of Providence take?

    +

Plan for about 1.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Providence is not rushed.

Is Haunted Benefit Street Walking Tour at Ghosts of Providence worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Providence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Haunted Benefit Street Walking Tour at Ghosts of Providence?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Haunted Benefit Street Walking Tour at Ghosts of Providence suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Haunted Benefit Street Walking Tour at Ghosts of Providence?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Providence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Providence and add a light layer if any part of the 1.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Haunted Benefit Street Walking Tour at Ghosts of Providence start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Providence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Providence?

    +

Providence runs Federal Hill food tours, gondola and river cruises, Brown and RISD campus walks, ghost tours through Benefit Street and WaterFire evenings in season. On Outty we rank every Providence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Haunted History Walking Tour of Providence, Crime and Cuisine on Federal Hill, Discover Providence Guided Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Providence?

    +

May to October, with WaterFire lightings from May through November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Providence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
