What you'll see and do
Thanh Toan Bridge
The car and tour guide pick you up at your hotel to exit Hue city center. You will follow the countryside road along the canal and rice fields toward Thanh Toan village. Established around the 16th century, the village expanded over an immense farming territory and served as a rice basket for the Hue ancient capital. Its fame is also related to the ancient Thanh Toan tile-roofed bridge. Your first stop is the communal temple, a national relic constructed with Feng Shui principles and beautiful decorative mosaics. Your guide will share the roles of this rural institution and many stories about rice culture. Continue to visit Thanh Toan tile-roofed bridge, one of the three surviving bridges of its kind in Vietnam. Learn the inspiring story of Mrs. Tran Thi Dao, a virtuous lady who donated her fortune to build this bridge in 1775. Spend some interactive moments with friendly villagers, wander through the rural market, or photograph rustic life scenes before we head back to the city

It has a 300-year tradition of making colorful paper flowers for offerings and paper lotus flowers. Thanh Tien paper flower village derived from folk beliefs and respect for the Kings according to Confucian values. Depicting popular local flowers, with colors representing the five basic elements of the universe, Thanh Tien villagers create colorful flowers out of paper, which were initially used for offering purposes. Later on, the paper flower-making craft evolved to include paper lotuses and diverse applications for decoration. Coming to Hue before Tet holidays, tourists can easily catch scenes of colorful paper flowers for sale in both rural and urban markets, as well as along the streets. How many days do you need in Hue?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
