    Great 1/2 day shelling adventure

Amazing day on the water with captain Nate and his pup. We visited 3 stops and found everything we were looking for and learned about the islands as we cruised around

Response from the operator: Thank you for joining Florida Island Tours for our Half-Day Super Shelling Tour and for sharing your experience. We're thrilled that you found everything you were hoping for during your shelling adventure. Visiting multiple islands gives us the flexibility to search different beaches and shelling conditions, and we're glad it paid off for your group. Honey Bear always enjoys meeting new guests, and Captain Nate loves sharing stories and history about the islands along the way. We appreciate your kind review and hope to see you back on the water for another shelling tour soon. 🐚🐬🐾🌴

    Wow!

Shells, dolphins, wild life! Cap’n John made the day, he made the dolphins play, we ate a coconut and learned a lot about shells and many other things!

Four hours of nature, peace, and beauty!

The early morning start provided peace, quiet, calm, and a beautiful sunrise over the water. Captain Nate took us to two remote shelling spots where we found an abundance of shells and sand dollars (no Junonia this time but I did find a -Scotch Bonnet), and he even found a pod of dolphins to take along with our boat for a bit on the ride back. A beautiful morning! Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you for the lovely review, Lauren. Florida Island Tours is glad the Half-Day Super Shelling Tour delivered such a peaceful and rewarding morning. That early start often brings calm water, beautiful light, and ideal shelling conditions, making finding sand dollars and a Scotch Bonnet especially exciting. Captain Nate always enjoys adding a dolphin encounter when nature cooperates, and those ride-along moments are a favorite part of our Marco Island shelling tours. We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another eco tour adventure soon 🐚🐬 — Florida Island Tours 😊

    Early morning wonder.

Wonderful time shelling in the early morning. Beautiful and quiet. Great time finding lots of good shells. Nate was a great host. The pics only show my shells. My wife collected more than one shelling bag full.

Response from the operator: Wesley, thank you for the kind words and for joining our Sunrise & Shine Shelling Tour. Early mornings out of Goodland are wonderfully quiet, and it sounds like you both made the most of that calm window. I love that your photos only showed your haul—sounds like your wife won the friendly shell-off with a full bag. 🌅🐚 When you’re back on Marco Island, we’d love to host you both again. If you’re up for it, we can target a lower tide to expand the shell fields—and with a little luck, maybe add a sand dollar or two to the story. Until then, enjoy those new treasures and the memory of that peaceful morning on the water. 🐬 — Florida Island Tours 🌴🐬

Half-Day Super Shelling Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does Half-Day Super Shelling Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Half-Day Super Shelling Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is Half-Day Super Shelling Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Half-Day Super Shelling Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Half-Day Super Shelling Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Half-Day Super Shelling Tour?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Half-Day Super Shelling Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

Naples is the launch point for Everglades airboat rides and Ten Thousand Islands boat tours, along with shelling trips, sunset sails off the pier and small-group food walks downtown. On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Marco Island and Naples Pedal or Paddle Kayak Tour, Mangrove Tunnels & Mudflats Kayak Tour - Local Biologist Guides, Manatees and Mangrove Tunnels Small Group Kayak Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

November to April, the dry season with the best wildlife viewing. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
