Fun! Beautiful scenery and exciting time for all!
We had a lot of fun but could not hear our guide. She needed a mic. Unfortunately some people’s voices are not loud enough.

Nice experience
Second year in a row on this trip. Had a fun time with family, 4 adults, 3 kids! Our guide was excellent— fun, informative, but not over-the -top silly. We enjoy a peaceful ride. We were not sure how the drought conditions would affect the water level , but it was fine. The first 15 minutes or so are the most fun with a few rapids, the last 30 minutes are very slow moving. The adults enjoyed the scenery but the kids thought it was way too slow moving. The guides who accompany us to and from the boat site on the bus are very nice but a bit too boisterous. On our last visit, the Guide on the way home, yelled the entire trip back. All in all it was a fun experience and we would recommend it.

Justin Made Our Rafting Trip AWESOME
We had a great afternoon rafting with Glenwood Adventure Company on the Shoshone section of the Colorado River. The whole operation was well organized, and you could tell safety was a top priority from the start. The staff did a great job explaining what to expect and made everyone feel comfortable before we got on the water. Our guide, Justin, really made the trip. He was easy to talk to, had a great sense of humor, and kept everyone engaged while making sure we were prepared for every rapid. It felt like spending the afternoon with someone who genuinely enjoys what he does. This ended up being one of the highlights of our Colorado vacation, and we’d recommend Glenwood Adventure Company to anyone looking for a fun rafting experience in Glenwood Springs. Justin, thanks for making it such a memorable day. Best of luck with school back in San Diego next year!

Best river rafting in Glenwood
This is a wonderful, refreshing and fun activity to do on a hot late-summer day! Wait till June or July or August so the water calms down from spring run-offs. We went in late July. 100 Degrees in Glenwood Spgs! The river felt awesome! Definitely do the Half-Day Shoshone rapids tour, not the “lazy river” one that starts after the rapids. The Shoshone Rapids are class 3-4, not bad at all. There were young children in our group and in another raft behind us, and all 7 rafts made it through without tipping or dropping anyone in the water. The rafting guides for Glenwood Adventures are top-notch and know that stretch of the Colorado like the back of their hands. Highly recommended! You need to wear a swim suit, a “water” shirt, sunglasses and water shoes. DO NOT wear flip flops. And pack a LOT of sunscreen! And bottled water! They provide life-jacket and helmet. Do it, you won’t regret this tour!

Half Day Shoshone Rafting in Glenwood Springs: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Glenwood Springs.
How much does Half Day Shoshone Rafting in Glenwood Springs cost?
+
Prices start at $85 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Glenwood Springs usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Half Day Shoshone Rafting in Glenwood Springs take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Glenwood Springs is not rushed.
Is Half Day Shoshone Rafting in Glenwood Springs worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 58 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Glenwood Springs, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Shoshone Rafting in Glenwood Springs?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Half Day Shoshone Rafting in Glenwood Springs suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Half Day Shoshone Rafting in Glenwood Springs?
+
Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Glenwood Springs can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Glenwood Springs and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Half Day Shoshone Rafting in Glenwood Springs start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Glenwood Springs within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Glenwood Springs?
+
On Outty we rank every Glenwood Springs experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Glenwood Springs Half-Day Rafting Trip, Glenwood Canyon Half-Day, Raft the Colorado River through Glenwood Springs - Half Day Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Glenwood Springs?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Glenwood Springs?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
