What you get
About this experience
Shift into adventure mode on a guided UTV side-by-side tour at historic Bair Ranch, a private 6,000-acre working ranch set in the heart of Glenwood Canyon, just minutes from Glenwood Springs and about a 30-minute drive from Vail and Beaver Creek. You’ll follow your guide in a comfortable Polaris Ranger, a stable side-by-side, as you explore terrain far beyond what typical rentals or public trail systems offer. This exclusive experience provides access to rugged backcountry landscapes and sweeping views that most visitors never see. The tour includes approximately 2.5 hours on the trail, beginning with a safety briefing and orientation before heading out. From there, the route climbs through a diverse mix of terrain, including open meadows, aspen groves, high desert ridgelines, and wildlife-rich areas, gaining elevation from around 5,500 to nearly 9,000 feet. It’s more than just a ride—it’s an immersive journey through Colorado’s varied and scenic backcountry.

Phenomenal off-road adventure
We’ve been looking for a last summer break Highlight for our 14 year old boy. We didn’t expect what comes along when we booked this ATV off-road adventure, but it was the best decision to go with this provider. Friendly staff, great equipment and the tour to see Colorados nature areas was just phenomenal. The price definitely matches with what you will get provided. 5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ For sure we will book again.

Book the tour!!
One thing everyone can appreciate is when an employee truly loves their job. E-Rock was hands down one of the best guides we have ever had on an excursion, you can tell he loves what he does and loves to educated people on what he loves. We did the tour with 2 kids ages 14 and 12 and both loved the experience. Even with the unfortunate haze and smoke in the area (completely out of anyone’s control) the grounds were still gorgeous and beautiful. This was the perfect way to end our Colorado adventure!

Off Season off roading with the best guide!
There is definately a benefit to a post peak season adventure ride. Erock was the perfect tour guide. Not sure if this is the norm but Erock after assessing our capabilities gave us instructions to the next stopping point with clear instruction of places to be more careful along the way. Then he would zoom forward and let us go at our pace (many times fun and fast) and then we would catch up for pictures and the next instructions. He told us the history and geographical & geological information along the way. He was very knowledgeable.

Great tour and gorgeous area
Super fun ride. Had a few other couples in the group and the ride guide who was super cool. Took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable with their machine and gave us a great tour of the area!

Epic Family Adventure at Bair Ranch with ERocks!
If you're looking for a thrilling yet family friendly UTV excursion, Bair Ranch is the place - and ERocks is the guide you want. Our group (ages 50, 48, 17, 15) had an absolute blast exploring the ranch's stunning and varied terrain. The views were breathtaking, and the equipment was in top-notch condition. ERocks went above and beyond, giving us clear guidance on each trail and making sure we felt confident behind the wheel. Even when we hit a minor bump - a flat tire (my fault!) - he handled it with speed and skill, keeping the fun rolling without missing a beat. Between the kids yelling "faster!" and mom yelling "slow down!" we had nonstop laughs and memories that'll stick. This is the kind of adventure that's perfect for families, friends, and anyone craving a scenic summer thrill. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so thrilled to hear you and your group enjoyed the UTV ride at Bair Ranch in Glenwood Springs! Glad the good times kept rolling, even after the flat tire! We hope to welcome you back again in the future.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Side by Side Off-Road Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Glenwood Springs.
How much does Side by Side Off-Road Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $163 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Glenwood Springs usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Side by Side Off-Road Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Glenwood Springs is not rushed.
Is Side by Side Off-Road Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Glenwood Springs, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Side by Side Off-Road Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Side by Side Off-Road Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Side by Side Off-Road Adventure?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Glenwood Springs can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Glenwood Springs and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Side by Side Off-Road Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Glenwood Springs within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Glenwood Springs?
+
On Outty we rank every Glenwood Springs experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Glenwood Springs Half-Day Rafting Trip, Glenwood Canyon Half-Day, Raft the Colorado River through Glenwood Springs - Half Day Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Glenwood Springs?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Glenwood Springs?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
