Melissani & Drogarati Tour!

The Half Day Private Tour Melissani, Drogarati & Myrtos Beach was absolutely phenomenal!!! My husband and I really enjoyed this adventure! Peter was a fabulous guide! He took into consideration our interests, questions and tailored the tour to us! We started with Dragarati cave, he gave us a breif overview of the caves history and then let us explore! The line was not bad and we got in rather quickly! We explored and got all of our pictures and when we were done he encouraged us to also check out the little shop to ensure we took full advantage! After I picked out a few.....souvenirs 😅 we headed off to the next stop! We then went to Melissani cave and thank goodness it was still fairly early so the line wasn't to bad. We were told by multiple locals to get there earlier in the day, especially before the cruise ships arrive or you will be waiting in line for a while. We waited 45 min which compared to what we'd heard from others was actually pretty quick, but they also have a little shop with gifts, beverages, food, snacks etc so we just grabbed some Somersby and enjoyed a cool beverage while waiting in line 😘 The wait was absolutely worth it!! The cave is pure magic!! Peter also made sure to keep checking on us in line to make sure we were ok with waiting still. Very attentive 🖤 Next because we loved the caves sooo much he also detoured from the main path and took us to a cave the locals frequent that you can actually SWIM in!! Unlike Melissani! We also showed interest in the local flora and he happily showed us certain local plants that produce fruits you can locate and eat! We tried a cactus fruit, wild blackberries, and even Carob! Which had a little bit of a chocolate taste! We then had an incredible picnic lunch at the acropolis in Sami, I had asked about it and he said we could go there! So of course we agreed! We got to walk the ruins as he explained the history of them how to locate the ancient building materials vs the newer aged slabs. We ate Rigonada for lunch and a nice crisp glass or Rose! We took some photos with the view in the background and then off to our final stop! We didn't have time for Myrtos which was totally fine as he still took us to a lovely beach (Antisamos i believe) a little closer to our current location where we enjoyed a nice swim with a cocktail before he took us back to our hotel! Peter was so amazing! He was so full of knowledge and knew the islands history so well, he showed us the wonder of his home and shared the culture with us!! We couldn't have asked for a better more magical experience or guide and we are truly grateful!! 🥰🖤 Untill next time! Efharisto!!!

Paid to much

This experience was so silly. Nothing was included. Meaning you still had to pay all entrance fees You’re basically paying for the driver approximately 100€ per hour. Driver was nice but certainly not worth 490€.

Wonderful day in Kefolonia

We had an amazing time on our tour with Allan! He was incredibly nice and completely tailored the day to focus exactly on the things we wanted to see and do. Allan is highly knowledgeable about Kefalonia and shared so many fascinating insights and stories about the island throughout the day. If you want a personalised, informative, and stress-free experience, we highly recommend booking a tour with him!

Wonderful end to our holiday

We had Peter as our Driver. From the offset he was polite smiley and informative. He knew a lot about his island and encouraged us to ask questions even happy to extend the amount of time we had on the tour. The tour itself was stunning, Catalonia is a beautiful island and although we were there for only five days, this was such a good last-minute idea to take the tour. What I loved was visiting caves that only took 20 minutes to visit as sometimes this can be an arduous task in the heat. Enough time to see the beauty of these caves and then off to the beach. When booking, Olympic Transfers responded immediately with any questions I had answered promptly. Polite and courteous, which is why I wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you very much especially Peter x

Half Day Private Tour Melissani, Drogarati & Myrtos Beach: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cephalonia.

How much does Half Day Private Tour Melissani, Drogarati & Myrtos Beach cost?

+

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cephalonia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Half Day Private Tour Melissani, Drogarati & Myrtos Beach take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cephalonia is not rushed.

Is Half Day Private Tour Melissani, Drogarati & Myrtos Beach worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cephalonia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Half Day Private Tour Melissani, Drogarati & Myrtos Beach?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Half Day Private Tour Melissani, Drogarati & Myrtos Beach suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Half Day Private Tour Melissani, Drogarati & Myrtos Beach?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cephalonia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cephalonia and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Half Day Private Tour Melissani, Drogarati & Myrtos Beach start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cephalonia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cephalonia?

+

On Outty we rank every Cephalonia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include "Dreamy cruise"Daily Cruise from Argostoli harbour with a traditional Greek boat, "QueenBee" Full-Day Boat Trip with Lunch, Kefalonia Island Bus Tour- Wine Tasting, Melissani & Fiscardo. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cephalonia?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cephalonia?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
