    Walking tour of Madrid

Great walking tour of Madrid. Our guide Helena was very knowledgeable and always ready to answer any questions we had. Also she was open to customize the tour according to our needs. We didn’t know that part of the tour was a churros tasting and a great lunch at a very nice restaurant. At the end we felt like we were having lunch with an old friend.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re really happy to hear you enjoyed the walking tour of Madrid and that Helena’s knowledge, flexibility, and attention to your questions helped make the experience special. It’s great to know you appreciated the churros tasting and the lunch as well — those are some of our favorite local moments to share! We’re especially glad you felt so comfortable by the end of the tour, like you were dining with an old friend. That’s exactly the kind of experience we aim to create. We hope to see you again soon in Madrid for another memorable day! 🇪🇸

100% worth it! Tour, churros, tapas & lunch!

My family and I enjoyed the guided half day tour with our guide. It was worth it as we had city tour, tapas and delicious lunch. She showed us the most emblematic landmarks of Madrid. We liked that the tour wasn´t in a rush and she took time to explain the history of every place we went. My favorite was the churros with chocolate break at San Gines and lunch with Spanish food at this local tavern. Overall, we really loved it and would 100% recommend for anyone looking to experience Madrid.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re thrilled that you and your family enjoyed the half-day tour, from the city sights and tapas to the delicious churros at San Ginés and lunch at the local tavern. It’s wonderful to hear that the tour pace and detailed explanations made the experience enjoyable. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another memorable adventure in Madrid!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.

How much does Half-Day Guided Tour of Madrid cost?

    +

Prices start at $129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Half-Day Guided Tour of Madrid take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.

Is Half-Day Guided Tour of Madrid worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Half-Day Guided Tour of Madrid?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Half-Day Guided Tour of Madrid suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Half-Day Guided Tour of Madrid?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Half-Day Guided Tour of Madrid start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Madrid?

    +

On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Madrid?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Madrid?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
